Yes you can.

You can upgrade to Virtual DJ Pro, which lets you do alot more and you get the ability to remap the controller.

Also you can use it with Traktor and Serato, but you have to map the controls yourself.

Will get this one soon, sweet controller.

yes. you'll need ac jacks to a headphone jack. and put 2 of those on the line in 1 and 2 plugs. you can do this with pretty much any mixer

Your laptop seems good enough to run this console without any problem.

I've used this console in differente laptops, from a HP 1,8GHz, 1Gb Ram, 80Mem and it works allright.

I´ve also used it with a MacBook Pro 2,5GHz, 2Gb Ram and the difference isn´t that big so... good luck with that "

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a new Hercules RMX dj controller and installed the driver + software. When I tried it out, the software started stumbling and didn't run solid. Is my laptop the problem? I have an ASUS intel core 2 duo, 2 GHz, 2G Ram, 160 Memory, with Microsoft Windows XP Professional version 2002 service pack 2.

Is that good enough for everything to run? If yes, then what might be the problem? The direct X version 9 is also installed.

i would have thought so - in theory you can use any midi controller to control it as all its just "information" but you would have to do a lot of configuring. ie working out which parameter in ableton works on which midi channel then configure something (?) so that the right parameter is affected by the right switch but youd have to do that for everysingle knob and slider?

I'm having the same problem.. I don't know what to get.

What I'm going to try is get this [RMX] and M-Audio's X-Session Pro [just to get Torq operating] and then use the RMX to control Torq, and use the X-Session Pro to control some other effects or something.

As someone who's used M-Audio's X-Session Pro, I can tell you personally that the unit doesn't last long if you plan on traveling with it. After just over a year, the $99 controller's USB port became too loose and stopped working. You also need an audio interface with it to split the channels. The knobs were annoying, everything felt flimsy, and there isn't much you can do with it effects wise. I just bought the RMX, and will put together a review of it soon.
