Yes, that hamster had a short life... I had one that was a pet though & when placed in the ball, it'd follow the birds around. Jasmine also liked removing the lid for the ball to free the hamster...

lol.. poor hamster.. gets shoved in a ball, chased by a bird, and eaten by a snake.. that's one hell of a life compared to how a lot of hamsters spend it (in a cage)...

Petey has some bizarre attraction to the snake's food... He typically rushes over to the snake's cage, to watch the snake strike & swallow the hamster..... lol

Petey lost his toy... My snake ate it.. lol... Oh well.. There will be another toy for him to play w/ in 2 weeks. Have you ever shopped at a Dollar store for bird toys? Best place to get them. I get big car washing sponges, kids toys & baby toys for them to tear apart & destroy.
