lowering speed limits is going to stop speeders? i doubt that very much, just think if the speed limit was 120km/h (instead of canadas 100km/h) everyone is traveling at the same speed... most people ive encountered will only do 120, ill take it all the way to to 180 but only if im following someone (let them get the ticket)

the reason we dont have an autobhan is because the conditions are better suited over there..if im not mistaken the autobhan is made of concrete...much better surface then pavement
@oilfield666 not concrete but asphalt (mix of sand stones and tar) . We use it in all Europe, not just Germany but they are the ones with lowest rate. Having used them, I can tell there are plenty of highways all over Europe that are as safe as Germany´s autobhans, we just have more stupid politics ruling than them :)
