We spent our days together, fishing on the pier where she'd try to attack my bait, or throwing a stick in the water that she'd eagerly run to fetch.
Heck, when I was a baby she'd let me pull on her ears while I rode on her back like a horse!
13 years of love.
I found out Monday that she had to be put to sleep at 16 years old. I miss her more than anything, and my friend just posted this on my Facebook wall, and it made me cry all over again.
we lost a lab, Sadie, little over year ago...this was the first time we had seen or heard Rainbow bridge, she was almost 13. Two weeks ago we lost 3 dogs, 2 pugs, Chipper 6, Wilson 4 and a golden retriever Zoe 3 in a house fire...then has been so hard. It does help to know we will see them again one day. But sure miss them now...

My DeeJay went to Rainbow Bridge today after giving us almost 13 years of companionship, security, laughs and tears. She is with Chandler, Shag, Peanuts and so many, many more. I'll miss my friend as you will miss yours. We all stand together with the memories of our best friends!

I have lost my cat Gillgen a few months ago, I kept talking to God and my animals to show me where he was and if he was all right, The night i went to sleep, I was visited by one of my animals, she led me to where Gilligens mangled and torn up body was. My cat was savegly killed by either a fox or coyote and i never knew. Then I turned around and he was there, alive and well, but far beyond my reach. He and Bullet left together, And i finally knew what happened to him.

My cat died today. We had had her for 8 years, and today when I got home from school we found half of her (the front half) lying on my front lawn. An animal had eaten her, and I will always miss her forever and she will always be in my heart. It's just been hard because it's been hard for me to accept the fact that she's dead, I keep thinking all of a sudden she'll be there again. I miss you Missy! I'll see you again one day!

My friends dog ran up to a man and bit him on the leg. My friends dog might have to be put down, and the man was making such a fuss about it! He kept on coming to my friends house, driving passed it, walking his dog, and showing his wife!

I can't even watch this.. makes me think of my first dog. He died two summers ago, and the vet gave me and my family this very poem to read.. That was a very emotional day. I'd never seen my dad cry before.

I lost all 3 of my fur baby angels last week due to someone poisoning them. Yorkie bella, maltese Scout and dashcund Chewie. Bella was in intensive care till friday i had to have her put down due to brain damage and in coma. Hardest decision i ever had to make. They never bothered a soull, but lost theris. R.I.P. my babies, hope to meet u will be waiting for me at the Rainbow bridge. ;)

@jimmybloodyjimmy for anyone losing or having lost a pet, please dont take comfort in this stuff. mourn your loss, dont dwell on the situation any longer than you need to, but please get another pet. there are so many in animal rescues that need a good home and trust me it will do you the world of good to have another little creature to help you through. it is never too soon.

My beloved black Lab Lady had to be put to sleep yesterday. She had a huge bleeding tumor and was 11 years old. She was in terrible pain and there was nothing else to do. I can't stop crying. My sister sent this to me. It's so beautiful. Tears are still falling but I hope to see her again someday.

MyCocker Spaniel, 13, and my 9 mo. old English Springer Spaniel have passed on. Boomer and Sir Alexander, 11/2 & 10 yr, are with us now. Best companions ever. Great to know that there could possibly be a Rainbow Bridge.

its like losing your brother, they can be really annoying but you love them just the same:)
he was stupid funny a doofus and cuddlebug and so much more!

i went out to play with him and when he wasnt moving i didnt know what to do.

I lost all 3 of my fur baby angels last week due to someone poisoning them. Yorkie bella, maltese Scout and dashcund Chewie. Bella was in intensive care till friday i had to have her put down due to brain damage and in coma. Hardest decision i ever had to make. They never bothered a soull, but lost theris. R.I.P. my babies, hope to meet u will be waiting for me at the Rainbow bridge. ;)

@jimmybloodyjimmy for anyone losing or having lost a pet, please dont take comfort in this stuff. mourn your loss, dont dwell on the situation any longer than you need to, but please get another pet. there are so many in animal rescues that need a good home and trust me it will do you the world of good to have another little creature to help you through. it is never too soon.

My beloved black Lab Lady had to be put to sleep yesterday. She had a huge bleeding tumor and was 11 years old. She was in terrible pain and there was nothing else to do. I can't stop crying. My sister sent this to me. It's so beautiful. Tears are still falling but I hope to see her again someday.

My pet Roxy died today, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 She was put to sleep, she was ill of starvation because whenever she ate she threw up and she was pooing out blood and a bunch of other things such as a tumor.
