Tim's comment about High School Guidance Counselors is very astute. I had a similar experience. My guidance counselor basically told me that I'd fail out of college if I moved away from home and lived in the dorms because that's what happens to her son. This statement drove me to get nearly straight A's through college. My mom knew the guidance counselor personally so she covertly would tell her how good I was doing in college.

@gian0pa I hear you on that. At first glance Tim sometimes has a 'shady salesman' edge to him, probably because he's so driven. But his books and blogs are very valuable if you read through. As he mentioned, some of it wont be relevent to you, but when it is, it is valuable.
