  • @lyndvs you should say the nicest thing you can about somebody, you shitheel

  • very nice

  • nice....nice, nice, nice!!

  • @lyndvs FUCK YOU

  • ...wow ,i can actually feel the swamp under my legs!great!:)

  • Just found this vid, what a great meander down the lane of resonator guitar! Keep on playing them blues, reminds me of the home down south.

  • Cheers!

  • Wrote a song about it....goes sumpin' like this here! Great vid. Glen

  • great video man, nice mellow sound. I usllay play my reso's like Im killing someone, so I love hearing a nice fingerpicked tune on one! great job.

  • @JamieOue LOL...."I usually play my reso's like I'm kiling someone...."

    You and me both!!

  • @gakathon lol well since I posted that comment Ive spent a year working very hard to fingerpick better, at the expense of most other practice or writing or anything. So NOW I sound like Im killing someone with slightly more tact. And more bass.

  • MMMMMMMMMM, Suena muy parecido a home sweet chicago de robert jonson

  • hey.. Mello! I like it.

  • Love this Resonator what type is it ?

  • man i could listen to this shit all day. i need to get better at slide. fuck sakes!!!, id love to add some of this blues slide into some metal, some niice southern metal haha

  • FILTY BRIT

  • my fav is DADADD

  • Yesirebob!

  • Nice playing, love the metalic tone and it looks fantastic. Hope you like my little number on the red reso above.

    cheers

  • cool i like to think im pretty good at slide guitar but i only ever play in open d e and g,i cant really mix it in with normal playing

  • that's a beautiful guitar!

  • Man i'm really impressed with the way you work around the standard tuning with the slide, when i play slide its almost always in open g, to play slide in standard is a whole nother world... great stuff man

  • yea open g and drop d r probably the two most commen ways to tune for playing slide guitar and to be able to play in standard and play well with it is incredable ... great job man

  • i realy like open c, those lower chords are so deep the sound is so heavy

  • me too! Check out Wandering Child by Gov't Mule. Its in that tuning and has some really cool riffs!

  • Slides actually not as bad as I thought on standard, Ive been playing in open E for months now, and picked up a friends standard last night, and figured out some badass licks on it. Anyway theres just a lot more lateral movement. Say if i was playing in D, on the B and E strings thats on the 10th fret, well 4th string D is on the 12th, and G is tuned down have a step from G# where I normally play it., so right there you can find some cool licks just gotta slide fast enough.

  • Sounds good.

  • Is that Resonator a Rogue CB60 ?

  • No, it's an OAKRIDGE from China I assume?

  • Mine is from china too and looks alot like yours.

  • Very cool, man!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent guitar playing. You know how to play the Blues.

  • you need to play your bassline way harder you lose your rhythm if dont emphasize it enough

  • standard tuning & slide???

    thats not easy

  • No it's not moloko89.

  • nice guitar

  • I'm buying one of those next week

nice work man, you are more blue than water shahsshahs

  • è stupenda

    bravo

    great!!!

  • ..you feel the blues..

  • nicely done! - wolf

  • lol, sorry i was to busy listening and watching you hands to realize you already said standard tuning, beautiful

  • what do you tune to?

  • I think it sounds spot on, great tone from fingers, a resonator doesn't have to have the harsh country twang from playing with hard picks, and no matter the brand, i'd always rather hear an ok instrument played so lovingly than a beautiful 20's national triolan played by a tab reading born again musician! so there!;-)

  • Thanks so much! I knew I wasn't to far off course!!

  • bon coup de slide

  • Very nice use of the slide in standard, another 5 stars.

  • Beauty twangin' on that Johnson, Mate. Nice slide & pickin' !

  • nice tone , keep hat mojo workin'

  • Thanks for leaving the comment on my page. Very nice slide playing and one of my fav gospel songs, Amazing Grace.

  • like it!

  • Sounds great. =)

  • Cheers!

  • pure class..

  • Nice slidin' there, slidestrings. Thought you might like to hear a bit of mine.

  • Cheers! I'm at present studying Plantalk and standard drop D slide dvd plus the crossroads esq lesson, as you might gather i'm a fan of yours, I will be getting to the forums as soon as I have something constructive to contribute. All the best from the central coast nsw

  • nice..

  • Thanks for the help I'll look into getting some. Cheers!!

  • I got gel wraps on three of mine. hard as a rock. about $30 though.

  • I do play with picks on occasion, but living in a flat with neighbours on top of me I mostly play bare fisted, I've never heard of gel wraps here in Australia.

  • ask your girlfriend, she gets them every week at the nail salon. gel or epoxy they work great

  • them johnson's don't sound like much--good playing though

  • It' an Oakridge actually!!

  • seems like it should be louder. loud is why they invented thos things.

  • I'm playing it with bare fingers no picks, hence low volume.

  • ohhh me likey. awesome stuff brother

  • Very nice..reminds me of Corey Harris...

  • Fuckin sweet man

  • Ahh...nice and bluesy...

  • right on! imagine 3,000 watts delay and reverb

  • No thanks; I'll appreciate the acoustic sound in this instance.

  • my imagination requires 5,000watts minimum. lol, googd stuff.

  • That's some fine slide playing!

  • Very nice stuff

    Tracut

  • thank's for the time!
