the gangster thing went on from 1997 to 2005, as soon as 1 head gangster died anotherone took straight over and started the whole gangster vs Phill mitchell thing over and over again about 5 times in a row.

It was good but all got too predictable,hence why they went down the Archie Mitchel story line instead.

The only reason it is better is that Ricky, Bianca and Janine have returned.

We have lost great characters in the last 4 years. Sharon, Pauline, Kat and Alfie, Dennis Rickman.

Sam, Kat and Alfie are not returning. Daniella Westbrook, Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace said they would like to return, thats all at the moment. There have been some great additions such as Ronnie and Roxy who I love. But there have been awful additions like Heather, Shirley, The Masoods, who bring nothing to the show, especially Heather.

The show is not as good as it used to be, simple as. EastEnders needs characters like Sharon back, fantastic and legendary.
