  • The ground relay is used to indicate a ground fault on a traction motor.

    This is the job of the mechanic, not the train crew, to decide if there indeed is a failure or simply a reset, and why this is done in a town.

  • Could they not reset the relay do that while moving?

    What is that relay?

    Unfortunate to have to stop the train and restart it.
