In Oblivion, just picking an item up would mean having the guards called on you for stealing. Glad that's not the case in Skyrim. (That, and how the camera doesn't zoom right up in someone's face when they talked to you. I'd just be bee-bopping down a path, a bandit comes up out of nowhere, next thing I know, his face is about 2 inches from my screen and I need new underpants.)

you open up your bag or sack whatever skyrim hero has, pick a bucket/smth else from it and place it on guards head. then naturally you take everything from him, a sword out of his hand, you know, the good stuff, then you axe murder someones family in front of him, create some mayhem, have some fun, then remove the bucket and look at him with a friendly smile =)

Was this fixed? Every time I try the buckets will fall as soon as they touch the NPC, and when I do get them on the NPC's head, it floats awkwardly just above mouth level and the NPC can still see me.

Just watch how many times you tap "E". They can tell when you try to open a chest.
