Great video, good use of trying different things and the A/B is nice. And for fuck sake (after reading many comments), what the hell is wrong with looking at instructions. Go look at any "unboxing" video: they do it; he does this and a great demo as well. And he plays well, and is a good reviewer. Why would someone have a problem with this guy?

im thinking about buying one of these but i already use my amps distortion with an mxr wylde overdrive on top of that. is it right to add in this pedal (TS-9). if so and i add it in, will it make my tone sound really messy?

Don't add it with the wydle overdrive, that'd just sound terrible.

BUT if you run it in front of your amps distortion alone, it'll sound like heaven. I use a TS9 in front of a mesa boggie stiletto, and it adds a ton of clarity and boost. Almost like taking a blanket off the amp. I tested it out at guitar center (blech) through a JCM 800 and it was the same deal. the ts9 is just a fantastic boost.

It's gotta be in front of a tube amp. Solid states=children crying.

@DemirGuitar94 The JVM is a tube amp, so it'd probably sound fine, just don't run both the ts9 and the Wylde OD at the same time, you'll probably get a ton of hiss, squeal, and feedback.

What are you trying to do with the pedal? Add another distortion channel type idea? If so, just buy a distortion pedal. The JVM is actually a pretty solid amp in my opinion, but I can understand wanting more from it. What you might want to look at BB Preamp.

@ZakkHendrix666 i use a Fender tube amp with a USA Tele but wouldn't necessarily use this pedal for a high gain solo. Even at full distortion it doesn't quite have the sustain for a gut-busting solo. Don't get me wrong, it's still my favourite pedal! For gigs I keep my tube screamer at noon all the way then kick in my T-Rex Dr Swamp for searing lead guitar licks and solos. Works for me. As always though, best thing to do is go to your local guitar shop and give this little green demon a try.
