I have learned more from your videos than any other programs or tapes i have tried.. your a great teacher and explains stuff slowly and completely... keep up the good work and GOD bless... Jim.
this video helped me alot i saw it a while back, and it took my playin to a new direction i love the feel and there are many different ways to use this type of strum i know you say its basic but it has many possablities, great lesson i would love to see more of this get your whole body rockin type strumming,i love it. keep it up
hey how much do you charge for drum lessons if its over at my place? cuz im currently learning drums from another guy but he'll be going to us nxt year so ill be looking for a teacher starting from next year..thnx
What should be the correct position of your hand while doing the muting ? coz when im muting my palm is in a pretty awkward position and my high E strings are nt always muted
it's really a personal thing. for me i place my palm near the bridge area and mute the last 3 strings. as for the first 3 like you've mentioned, i usually use my left hand (available fingers) to mute.
Im not a beginner anymore, but I'm far from being an expert. These lessons are right at my level and have taught me some valuable tips. Thanks so much for posting!!!!! and keep up the great work!!!! please

OK!! thx !! btw am i able to do this strumming pattern withour using a pick?
krouchy 2 years ago
you could, just that you might lose a little percussiveness from the picking sound.
turbochickenstudios 2 years ago
Hey, thanks for the lessons.
What are the other songs that this strumming can be used.
ygiriprashanth 2 years ago
many! you can break the strum pattern up, improv and create your own (by shuffling the accents around)
turbochickenstudios 2 years ago
do you strum all strings??
lukauskis 2 years ago
hi lukauskis,
i don't strike all the strings when doing mutes, for chords i do (the relevant strings, of course)

weino3 3 years ago
hello weino3,
try lifting your left hand off the fretboard when your right is doing the mute, that should help.

okay. thanks. (:

OnTheRanch 3 years ago
hi ontheranch,
do you mean the E when counting 1Ena 2Ena etc?
it's how we count 16th notes, if that's what you're asking. otherwise feel free to inbox me.
turbochickenstudios 3 years ago
yeah, thanks for the reply :)
