  • This is about 8x better than the new crap they put in today.

  • The music is nice, but a bit too bland for my tastes.

  • Man, I love that jingle! Never gets old. This was the first station I watched for news when I was only 6 or 7, I think.

  • If other stations across America had the opportunity to purchase this music package, some most certainly would. It's both proud and down to earth--the perfect combination for a news theme of today. It's been five years since WBZ last used most of the package--they still use a couple of cuts--and it doesn't look like they will use it again since their current image is doing just fine. Thus, any exclusivity WBZ may have is practically nonexistant. Please sell this thing, Michael Whalen!

  • Are you 12 years old? (7 at 2003)

  • He said it was the 1st station he watched @ 6 or 7...not the 1st song he heard.

  • Easily one of the best themes and news openings I have ever seen!

  • I wonder if another station will pick up this theme and/or Graphics Package...It's always a shame when you've got elements like these that go to waste.

  • another great and classy open

  • Heroic, I must say....too bad they didn't use it again.

  • I wish they hadn't killed it off with the stupid mandate.

  • Well, the mandate has been discontinued for 'BZ now, so we can celebrate.

  • I wish KYW (WBZ'S sister station in the Group W days)

would later on in the year would halt the mandate, too.

  • A wonderful open! I always loved that one.

  • I believe the music (Michael Whalen) was nominated for an Emmy.
