  • what's the host's weird gray strand in the hair?

  • why do people worry about this? I hate when people say that you can't wear this or that because of age. I still shop in the teen section and Im almost 30. I DON'T wear stickly sweet chothing or skimpy showy stuff, just things I like and feel comfortable in. And besides, I like the arizona brand?

  • I feel like these two don't really have much of a peripheral for any fashion except stuff from fashion magazines. I mean, more and more people are paying attention to street fashion and as a matter of fact, there was a special homage to it during fashion week. I personally love steampunk and victorian style clothes (though I don't wear any myself...) and the Japanese street style. It just seems like the show caters exclusively to office ladies; can't wear heels while surveying a lot.

  • Can't believe the unbelievably stupid comments on here (not to mention the appalling spelling and grammar!) This is a supportive and positive show. Almost everyone is thrilled with their new look. It's about being the best you can be, dressing for your body shape and creating a positive body image and yes, people DO judge a book by it's cover.

  • @jessssthemessss So we should just change who we are so people dont judge us? They are only thrilled because they have been convinced by the media on what is beautiful and what isn't.

  • @CrHickey25 What's wrong with change?

  • @Grimmjow567 its wrong if you are changing just to be trendy and fashionable.

  • @CrHickey25 You are right. But they are not just changing to be trendy or fashionable, they are changing to present themselves better and feel better about themselves.

  • @CrHickey25 They feel better about themselves and they wear better fitting nicer looking clothes. You cant honestly think they looked better before the makeover.

  • @Grimmjow567 Why not? god forbid someone go against the grain when it comes to looking good. And again isn't nicer looking clothes subjective?

  • @Grimmjow567 I guess im just sick of this shallow obsession with image and appearance, it just strikes me as another form of social control.

  • @CrHickey25 Its not shallow obsession, dont be so narrow minded people like to look good and nice clothes do that. And by nice a mean well fitting, quality and complementary clothes. Of course people have different taste but i dont think anyone would be attracted to the obese lady's wearing soccer shorts and tracksuits.

  • @Grimmjow567 Im narrow minded ha! and the fashion nazis arent? You keeping on missinig my point, all those things are subjective! who said anything obese lady's? Im talking about people who go against what society and the media think is beatuiful. But I guess youu have a very narrow mind whenit come to beuty.

  • @CrHickey25 Just because stacy and clinton tell them what doesnt look good on them and what does doesnt means they have to listen or dress that way. Once again, they CHOOSE to change the way they look and dress cause they accept the offfer.

  • @hapibth0pel3ss but they do because they are scraced of not being 'fashionable''.

  • @CrHickey25 I dont think its about being fashionable its about getting out of your comfort zone and trying something you never think you would try.

  • @hapibth0pel3ss as long as "getting out of your comfort zone " is consider cool and trendy by theem.

  • @Grimmjow567 I call Rule 34.

  • @Grimmjow567 present themselves better ? how so? just becasue these people said she was? looking good is subjective, something these morons don't realize.

  • @CrHickey25 People on this show often look tore up from the floor up. They don't have a sense of style, they don't think they're beautiful and they want to be invisible. This show is about making women feel beautiful and giving them some self pride in their appearance.

  • @CrimsonOkami Tore up how? A sense of style is highly overrated, it is just a fear mongering term used to get people to buy certain types of clothes.

Well that's pretty sad isn't it? the fact that people don't think they are beautiful unless they look a certain way.

  • It is a bad message when they imply everyone should dress a certain way but it's just being different and not harming anything, it sends a closed minded message. They said dressing that way is dressing like a grandma, and not dressing their age, but that's insulting people who do like to dress in loose fitting clothing. Some people think it's more comfortable, and they don't think it's slobby. Those people should be able to dress how they want to because it's how they express themselves.

  • @CutieBabe25 They are not forcing their style on them. It is just most of the people on the show look like shit because they are shy and are not sure how to express themselves, not because they are individuals.

  • @Grimmjow567 no society is. They think they have to dress a certain way to be accepted.

  • If they wanted to make a show like this that wasn't bigoted this is all they have to do. Instead of calling it "What not to wear" they could call it "What do you want to wear?" Have the show start off with them asking them to change their style from the beginning to confirm always consented to it, and let the show be about individual expression, not mindlessly conforming to trends.

  • Shows like this remind me how "The Learning Channel" has completely gone to shit.

  • I'm 38 and while I don't dress like a teenager, I don't go out of my way to look older like this lady

  • at least she's not wearing skimpy tops and tiny mini skirts like some of the bimbos here in Killeen Texas

  • My mom dresses hot (but not skanky) and everyone thinks we're sisters! :D

  • What a jackass. "You look much older" is an insult to some people, and what the hell, let them wear what they want.

  • Whoever the woman is with the dark wavy hair pisses me off. Seems like all she gives a damn about is what you look like.

  • @UberT0mm that's kind of the point of the show... stacy is supposed to give a damn, otherwise they wouldn't even have the fucking show!

  • "What not to wear" is such a bad, and bigoted idea! Just let people wear what they want. Live and let live. People are not robots with no emotions. Everyone has their own personal tastes in what they like. People are individuals, get used to it!

  • @CutieBabe25 Totally agree! My mum is 55 but the fashion these days my mum, and even my 77 year old nan on occasion, has told me she "wore that the first time round" and that younger women "think they have something new". But someone of her age wouldn't be allowed, in these people's eyes, to dream of wearing something like that again, and I think its ridiculous! As human beings with our own tastes and styles, we have every right to dress how we like!

  • @CutieBabe25 I disagree with you! Stacey and Clinton could be a little nicer to their participants but they do help them a lot. It's amazing how good they all look after their makeovers.

  • @Amerizuelan How good they look is relative. They may look good to you, but that doesn't mean they look good to other people. People have their own independent mind, their own stories, their own interests, which gives people their own likes and dislikes in what they want to wear. Fashion is about individuality and freedom of expression, not making people follow trends like robots. It makes an unnecessary closed minded mindset.

  • @CutieBabe25 but have you seen some of the episodes where people realize that they've been hiding and insecure with their bodies and themselves and the transformation actually helps them to overcome some insecurity and take a new outlook on life. It's not always about personal fashion taste it's about how some people dont give how they look a single thought in the day, but it does matter. Your appearance tells the world about how well you take care of yourself and makes an impression.

  • @sam478516 Sure if you have a healthy looking body, or clean clothing, but what type of clothing shouldn't matter. You can't judge a book by it's cover. Health, yes maybe, but type of clothing, no. There is a whole story inside that they don't know. Wanting someone to dress a certain way just because they don't like their style is closed minded. Clothes also don't effect the mind, they are just fabric. If they are depressed because of the way they dress it means there is a deeper issue there.

  • @CutieBabe25 true but sometimes its good for a change. Stacy and Clinton are just helping them dress better to fit their body, believe it or not people judge you by what you wear and if a person is trying to get a job the way they normally dress it isn't gonna fly. Also Stacy and Clinton arent forcing these people to change the way they want to dress, they agree to change their whole wore-robe cause they agree themselves that half the stuff they wear isn't stylish or flattering on them at all

  • @hapibth0pel3ss As long as it is consenting sure, but the title of the show is closed minded message.

  • Also dressing for a job is another issue, because your being hired to do a certain thing, even though I think making employers dress a certain way just based on style is closed minded and I wouldn't work at a place like that. Still when someone is doing something they were not hired to do, and just expressing themselves, there should be no problem with that.

  • @CutieBabe25 i dont think its closed minded, there are some clothes you just shouldnt wear. period.

  • @hapibth0pel3ss sure if it has a hateful message on them, or if they are impractical enough that they are harmful, but thinking people shouldn't wear something just because someone doesn't personally like that style, that is closed minded. It doesn't make any sense, it's just being different, and it's none of their business, just because they don't like it doesn't mean that the person wearing it doesn't like it. Live and let live for goodness sake.

  • @CutieBabe25 But the people dont even like what their wearing, if they did they wouldnt go on the show or pay attention to what stacy and clinton told them.

  • @hapibth0pel3ss Yes it's okay as long as they want to be changed. The show's title sends the impression of a bigoted message though. Many of these types of shows have someone on because their friends didn't like what they were wearing, instead of the person themselves. That's when it starts to give a closed minded message. If everyone dressed for everyone else, no one would be happy because everyone would suggest something different.

  • @CutieBabe25 If no one suggested anything new and different then people would be stuck in their own little shells never trying anything new. Its okay to try something different for a change, even if its clothes or not. There have been people that have entered themselves on the show cause they desperately wanted a change

  • @hapibth0pel3ss As long as they choose to want to change, and the people watching know they consent to it from the beginning, not by badgering them until they say "Fine I like it." The picture you paint doesn't seem like what they are doing on this show. The title of the show is "What not to wear" like they are telling people they can't wear this certain thing. All throughout the show they complain about their style, and talk like everyone should dress a certain way, which sends a bad message.

  • @CutieBabe25 How is it a bad message? Their helping people by giving them the proper clothing to fit there body. I have seen women wear clothes that were sizes to big or small for their body frame which made them look larger then they actually are. They dont want people to look like slobby, they want the person to feel and look comfortable and confident with the right size clothing.

  • @hapibth0pel3ss Bullshit. proper clothing? what exactly is that? what these so called 'fashionable' people deem as acceptable?

  • @hapibth0pel3ss Try something diffferent? ha! thats a very easy thing to when you are being told what to and what not to wear. If you realy wanted to try something different you wouldn't give two fucks what people like this think and wear what ever you want.

  • @CutieBabe25 I'm not so sure about that. People can wear what they want... but they still have to look respectable. I agree that some of the people on the show do not necessarily need a makeover, but some of them are so upset with how they look(ed)(originally) that they welcome a change. Ever think about that?

  • @kbunge i think there should be a rule that you can only enter yourself. instead of haveing someone go behing your back and enter you. but yeah i totally agree with you!

  • @CutieBabe25 Have you even seen the show?
