Vernon is a bad Gordon Gaines rip off!! At Gordon's funeral he tried to get the rights to Gordon's music. On top of that He's one of the worst soloist ever!!!!

Interesting...this isn't the first time I've heard about this incident. Do you know this for fact 1st hand? The person that related it to me was just repeating what was told to them. Maybe 6th hand info at best LOL!

While there is no denying Gordon's greatness, he's still very sorely missed. I still gotta give Vernon his props for all he's accomplised musically. As far as Vernon's approach to soloing, to each his own.

Vernon has been influenced by many great guitarists but has his own unique sytle. To call him a "Gaines rip off" illustrates that your not familiar with his body of work and that you clearly don't kno what the fuck you're talking about. Vernon Reid is phenominal
