Since when was an X-Wing (doesn't matter if it's 'advanced' or not) capable of breaching a Star Destroyer's shields simply with laser blasts? And more importantly, why is this pilot so bad? Sorry but how hard can it be to pull up or yaw right and avoid a collision...

@tarkinfish When the ISD shield generators are taken out, they are vulnerable. This was done in the movies and games.

@tarkinfish I don't think shields make a ship invulnerable. As I understand, the resistance to collisions and energy weapons that shields provide is determined by the amount of power the ship routes to the shield system. Though the movies did not go into great length explaining the technical aspects, the Xwing games seemed to indicate this principle.

Actually I think TOR is more of a arcade game when it comes to space combat. In SWG you had more control over where you went in space and how you approached a target. Sadly just before the game comes to an end they fix they starships to prevent those collisions.

A head-on collision with the ISD, then tons of hits by the turbo lasers and still going on unscratched... a bit of an arcade game isnt't it...

@xenoboy908 the Adv. X-Wings has 80k mass more than the standard one. Also its YPRS (yaw, pitch, roll, and speed) ratings are a bit better. It's no JSF, but when fitted correctly it can devestate anything in SWG.

I remember the star wars games where if you hit something you died.

I destroyed a SSD by shooting down the shield generators then ramming my x wing into the bridge, the ramming part was somewhat on accident. I was getting shot, my shields were down and I took it with me. Won the level to the surprise of everyone in the room.
