You know, I am really getting tired of Ben and his moods. I want to smack him, the way he talks to Katy in the preview for Episode 8. He said if she fails, he fails. I disagree. He is only there to help give another perspective or suggesions if they are stuck. Ultimately it is the designers vision and creation. You would NEVER see Tim Gunn acting this way.(even if he was a judge too).
How did Viv get through with that dress? It's not as if this weeks challenge was out of her comfort zone! All she can make is dresses and if she makes on that bad then she should be out. If that had been anyone else they would have got alot more of a slating than that.
Viv survives because every time somebody else did something that is worst than hers. Like this week, if Clinton did not bitterly fought back, i wonder would he be sent home.
What I would like is for this show to stop having the designers design for a real person every week. It's hard to be original when you have to meet a specific person's criteria. Challenges like the MacIntosh one are better than always designing for some star.
And I hate, hate HATE Ben Delisi. What an asshole. Get rid of him, and that other fat-head idiot, too. In fact, get rid of all the recurring judges and find new ones. That woman is no Nina Garcia and Delisi is certainly no Michael Kors.

I really want Jasper to win. He's always really creative and such a sweet guy. That said, I didn't like his entry this week, and thought Chelsy deserved to win the challenge. But I don't think Clinton's was that bad - a lot better than Ross's, but thats just my opinion.

I didn't really like anyone's dress. Too many of the shapes were similar to one another. I didn't mind Katy's. I thought Clinton's was a pretty dress but I guess it didn't match the brief. And Ross' was horrid. It looked so, so homemade. Just awful and shapeless.
There's another problem with Ben besides the conflict between him being both mentor and judge. Unlike Tim Gunn, Ben is a practicing designer (and, since I've never heard of him and he's working on this show, I'm guessing he's not as successful as he would like). This surely plays some role in how he responds to the contestants, especially when he feels that they're not giving him proper respect. There's too much ego and drama coming from the so-called "mentor."

My prediction was right...anyway Ben is more annoying than J....n, and Paula Reed is b*tchier than ever. I thought Katy's dress is really tacky. If Sophie wears it, I'm sure it will make a headline news.
Ben is seriously losing it. Is he pining for Tom? First he shows up in the clothes he wore to bed, plus house slippers. Then he begins snapping at the contestants. What kind of mentor is this? I really want Jasper to win. He's always really creative and such a sweet guy. That said, I didn't like his entry this week, and thought Chelsy deserved to win the challenge. But I don't think Clinton's was that bad - a lot better than Ross's, but thats just my opinion.
And I totally agree - Ben is awful. He only designs for Debenhams, for frick sake.

I didn't really like anyone's dress. Too many of the shapes were similar to one another. I didn't mind Katy's. I thought Clinton's was a pretty dress but I guess it didn't match the brief. And Ross' was horrid. It looked so, so homemade. Just awful and shapeless.
And Ben is AWFUL.

There's another problem with Ben besides the conflict between him being both mentor and judge. Unlike Tim Gunn, Ben is a practicing designer (and, since I've never heard of him and he's working on this show, I'm guessing he's not as successful as he would like). This surely plays some role in how he responds to the contestants, especially when he feels that they're not giving him proper respect. There's too much ego and drama coming from the so-called "mentor."

Ben is seriously losing it. Is he pining for Tom? First he shows up in the clothes he wore to bed, plus house slippers. Then he begins snapping at the contestants. What kind of mentor is this? Basically if you ignore his "advice" he targets you for removal. (This makes him the most loathsome of all the loathsome judges. At least the others have no contact with the contestants.)

I thought Sophie was more sophisticated classy, I was mistaken. I thought Clinton's dress was the best design for her but would suit her better in brighter colours. There's not such a wide distance between Chelsea and Viv's dresses

Clinton made a nice dress, and if the brief was to create an outfit that Sophie could wear to a tea party it might have won. Strange this. What was needed was the "questionable taste" that he demonstrated on earlier challenges, like his hooker pants.

I love Ross. His dress this week was for someone much cooler than SE-B though.
Clinton's dress was beautiful. Amazingly so. It's unbelieveable they let Viv through and not him. Just LOOK at the dresses next to one another at 1:57... :D

I agree. Ross shows real originality and puts a lot of thought into his designs. I just think he needs to work on the fit of his garments. Ross also seems like he would be the most fun to hang out with.

so true, I suppose as per their brief, the dress that catches the light even if its in foil and is a "Christmas cracker" is better than the one made with better taste but with less striking colors
