For a Speedrun you have to be faster.

Ok so this is supposed to be a speed run right? Why don't you go through each level so you don't have to return to any of them but Bubble Crab if you want the heart and tank. Wire Sponge, Wheel Gator, Crystal Snail, Overdrive Ostrich, Bubble Crab, Flame Stag, Morph Moth, then Magna Centipede. You'll beat it twice as fast.

You actually don't need to get ANY upgrades. However, I find it best to get the Buster armor and boots upgrade minimally. Good speed run though.
