@mscheer0106 I do work. I pretty much make my own schedule so it works out great for me. Lots of students work. It's a challenge, but doable. you just have to work on time management (that's hard for me but getting better). Before I started nursing school I was always told not to work if I didn't have to. I think that's pretty good advice, at least for the first semester then you can better judge what you can and can't do. Some people don't have a choice and make it work! Congrats and Good Luck!
Congrats huni... How long do you have off? xxoo :D Thanks for doing this video.. I am trying to get ready for next semester... I have like 2 months to go.. I am so bored hahaha.. I bought a game today, little big planet to keep me busy.. lol
@rokkerbaby1 1. Make sure your book is registered with thepoint (access code scratch off on the inside cover of the book) 2. Log in and click that book then click student resources. 3. Click Get the Q&A App (it should be second item from the top). This will take you straight to app store so you can download it.
I highly recommend skyscape. My school actually got us an ipod touch with the nursing constellation skyscape software with our drug guide and clinical books on there so we can have all our resources with us on the floor. I love it.
@annietart That's awesome! I wish my school would let us have those resources with us. They are crazy strict about that. We have brought it up in the last meeting, but who knows. I feel like its a huge disadvantage because other schools, like yours, actually embrace technology lol.
@juliannehola I think they really embraced it because we don't get our patients until we're on the floor and we don't do care plans anymore. We do concept maps during our day about our patient's needs then present them during post conference. They really want us to learn how to be a nurse by acting like a floor nurse who gets her assignment that morning and thinking on our feet. So, it was probably out of necessity rather then our admin letting us have ipods on the floor.
Do u work while going to nursing school? I start rn school in fall and I want to know if its hard to work @ same time.

@annietart That's so cool. I heard a rumor that we are going to concept maps, but it seems to take a while for things to actually go into effect.
