The fact he doesn't show his numbers first destroys most of the credibility, and then the way he waits, the ball on the left changes position, and his explanation just make it laughable and an insult to my intelligence. Seriously does he think anyone will believe he got 24 people to have a guess, got the average and they happened to be the right numbers? He does not predict ANYTHING, He purposely doesn't show you the balls at the start because they are "Blank", and yes the draw and the show is boradcasted live and is real but, He has someone else, who has access to the 49 white balls, all off them have a number on, As each off the numbers are drawn, away from the camera, the balls are placed on a new rack, the left side is a pre-recorded footage of static balls being placed in sync as a overlay with the right side....

If you look the camera shakes slightly, as you see he makes it look live with the t.v and his predicted numbers, what he does is he has a split screen meaning thatyou cannot see behind the predicted lottery numbers, and he has an assistant that changes the balls in the slight camera shake and the slight shake is when the assistant puts the predicted numbers there for what the real ones are so he gets it right. Theirs nobody behind the lottery balls, they have a clear stand to confirm that, and there's no such thing as an invisible man. also split screen cameras would not be in sync with each over when shaking. Also Derren wasn't aloud to enter the lottery, and legal action wouldn't be taken for split scene trickery.

Im sorry to burst your theory but it was broadcast completely live, whatever he did to predict them, trickery or not it would have taken much more time and thought than a split screen

The other reason Derren couldnt show the balls beforehand is because if he did, people all over would be betting on the outcome and with derrens reputation of getting his stunts right, bookies would have lost a fortune. This is why Derren is never employed by the courts to see if someone is guilty or not because then it skews the whole system of a jury. He could be used for so many things, but for political and legal reasons he cant

In the rack facing you are 6 white cut out cards. There is a masked hollow tube running up from the floor. The balls are run up through the tube into the rack which slopes slightly just after the draw and either by slope, magnets or some other method they run into place in the rack.When he turns the rack you can just see some outline of the cut out cards.

If you watch the episode where he "predicted" the horse winners you'll find he made different predictions to different groups of people, and over the course of 6 races of 6 horses each he actually forcast all 36 horses to win. Hard to lose that way.

So the BBC have the right to broadcast the REAL numbers first, fine, he would only have been showing a guess, like if I went on tv and said what numbers I had. Until the actual draw has been made obviously no one could broadcast the results, so he could have shown them - except, of course, it was an illusion and he never predicted the lottery in the first place :)

If he had predicted the results he would have filmed them written somewhere that could have been proved to be time-specific before the event. The question is how the numbers got on the balls, but with technology as it is these days that shouldn't be too difficult. The show was a bit of a damp squib if you ask me.
