I did it on Final Cut and utilized some of the advanced settings, too complicated to explain here. Have your subject perform in front of a green screen, then place the Gene Kelly film in the background for an easy solution. If you already have footage and want to extract a person, start with an eight point garbage matte and isolate your dancer using key frames to keep him or her centered. How did you do that? I've been trying to do the same thing but instead pasting something else dancing with Mr. Kelly. Someone tell me how to do what this guy just did.
