The Australian SAS called these vehicle the Perinties 6x6 named after a desert insect. There are two company in Australia specialized in retrofit any 4x4 vehicle into all wheel 6x6, just Google it.

So is it a custombuilt? Or another? Because the engine sounds extremely similar to the Isuzu 4bd1t fitted to the perenties. Impressive how well it handles the sand given that it seems to have a heavy load.

Ah yes but take a look at an unladen Land Rover 90 and it will dig into the sand more than that, despite having a very light back end. Can only assume that desert sand has some form of hard wind crust under the surface. You can see it digging in a little in soft spots, but if it was in the sort of beach dunes I'm familiar with it would sink very quickly. I'd be very surprised if it isn't 6x6
