@sml2238 Thanks! That's because the album is not done yet. The vocals are still not finished and nothing is mixed yet. Once I get vocals done it will be a piece of cake to get everything done and out to the world. There is no name yet so if I opened up a MySpace I don't know what I would call it.. so I have to figure out a name first.

@tokyorose999 Thanks man! Well I wouldn't recommend it unless you want bluescreens every now and then. You can look into the Focusrite Saffire products - I know there is one that is equal to the Profire 2626. I personally want an RME Fireface 800 but it's still over my budget :(

@StudioErdo I have been in the same dilemma, I was going to get the 2626 but after some research i think im going with the focusrite saffire 40 "tokyorose999" i would check out these interfaces first. I have came across a lot of ppl having problems running the 2626 on PC's not so much on mac's though. And they seem to go a little cheaper than the 2626.Now the Fireface 800 would be nice to have.

@steve8899 I have no idea, I bought it from my local music store. I don't really think you need this mic though since all of these chinese condensers sound pretty similar :) AKG Perception 120 or 220(?) is a good choise otherwise since this Supreme CU-1 is pretty much a clone of either one of those.

@StudioErdo Thats alright seemed like an interesting mic and i like having unknown/unusual equipment in my collection but to much effort to get my hands on one. Yes the AKG's are great mics just ordered a 420.

@JickBleedts he is in a jazz/funk band but apart from that I'm not really sure. He plays with a lot of people regularly though. The song doesn't really have a name yet, it's all just working titles.

Hey, I'm a big fan of your project, and am an audio nerd here in Oregon, and I was just curious about the basic recording details of this video, if you don't mind sharing...

What kind of microphone were you recording the vocals with?

And were you running that through any outboard compressor/pre-amp or any other signal-processing gear BEFORE it hit your computer?

The guy's got a kick ass voice, by the way.

@OregonCoastGhost Thanks a lot man, makes me happy to hear that. The mic I'm recording those vocals with is a "clone" brand which goes under the name Supreme. The name of the mic is CU-1. It sounds really similar to an AKG Perception 120 so I sort of suspect it's a clone of that mic actually :) Not THAT much cheaper than the AKG though so really.. could've just gotten the AKG instead.
