hey scooby can you do this excersize combined with other dumbell excersizes if so how many is best? because usually i do about 4 excersizes for my biceps but with this excersize i find it hard to that many...let me know if u can :) thanks

If you want strength, do cardio after so you where your muscles down then the cardio will add to it. For endurance, do vice-versa, so the muscle workout adds to being already tired, thus making them endurable.

Practically any exercise routine you do that builds muscle and effectively burns fat off will raise your weight regardless. The misconception about weight is that the more muscle and less fat, the lighter you are, however muscle in fact weighs much more than its equivilent in fat. Thus naturally, if you replace the fat in your body with muscle, you'll weigh more and be much stronger. It's a win/win situation

Damn this is great. I've been working out for a little more than three years now and I have a fantastic workout with an insane personal trainer. Biceps for me seem to be the one spot where I have the most trouble developing mass, and I usually don't feel that nice 'soreness' afterwards. So I gave this a try and damn! What a great workout! I think I'm gonna add this to my workout permanently. Thank you Scooby, you're a beast!

imho your cardiovascular strength will determine how well you can strength train. that said, i will defer to one who is much better built than i am... scooby?
You'll want to lay off cardio if you are trying to build size/strength. Your body needs carbs for strength during resistance training. If you are packing in a lot of cardio while trying to do this, you will result in not as much energy for your lifting as you would. I would recommend doing 3-4 exercises for each major muscle group, 4 sets of 8/10 reps on each exercise. Limit your breather between sets to 30/45 seconds. The breather in between sets is crucial. Make the 8/10th rep difficult.
Muscle isn't built from oxygen. The amount of oxygen delivered to your body is determined by how you perform the exercise. Running on a treadmill then doing a set of curls isn't going to be any more beneficial than not running on a treadmill. There is no secret to building muscle mass. Take in more calories than you work off. And make about 40% of your calorie intake protein.

Be careful doing forced negatives.. I ripped my bicep going overboard with them, and then trying to do a positive lift on the preacher bench. Now my left bicep has a slight dent in it from where it ripped :(

you're still young so my advice to you is take it easy on your body. i know young people don't like to listen to anybody but just understand that your body is still undergoing development and hardcore weightlifting will do nothing but wreck your back and leave you in pain when you're older. just take it easy

You can get someone to spot you and assist in your form when required, this will help not only for the forced negatives but to prevent the risk of injury while working out@ home in solitude. In my experience though most people @ gyms have no problem spotting for a set or two
try wearing a backpack loaded with heavy weights. then do ultra wide pushups with them, letting ur body down slowly and then go back up on ur feet and lower urself again

forced negative backpack pushups are an idea. load ur backpack with weights and lower urself as if u were doing a pushup and go back up using ur feet.....so just lower urself with really heavy weights to the count of 5 with ultra wide pushups

to be honest the results were more at the strenght lvl i got stronger faster very very faster i of course got bigger but i got friends who are a lot bigger then me like a lot bigger and lift the same as i do

hey scooby, ive been using the negative rep techniques quite often in my bicep workout but it seems to have caused me some bicep tendonitis which has begun to cause me shoulder pain. I have given it a few weeks rest and been taking anti-inflammatories, I was just wondering if you knew any exercises I can use to get rid of the the soreness and recover.

Depends on what you mean by "good looking chest". How many pounds/inches of muscle do you want to add? Figure on adding 5lbs of muscle a year if you are really dedicated.

really good i don't have this problem I just can't put on weight and i get bored after a month of making my self eat more to try and get around this. So the end result is always a waste of my time because i just can't get a good body size i'm 5.9ft and am 126 pounds =\ i would like to be more but i don't know what i need to eat to effectively start gaining healthy weight.
i see a lot of videos for losing weight none for gaining, please help!

just have 20-25g of protein in 5-7 meals and train hard by lifting weights consistently and you will gain healthy weight

it can eat away both fat and muscle. depending on various things. Keep a high protein diet and eat regularly. Keep your carbs low and probably if you'll loose weight it will be just fat

don't go starving yourself, if your not getting what you need your body will take it from itself,like you don't have enough protein it will take it from your muscles, not enough calcium it takes it from yor bones, but please eat lol.

You can get someone to spot you and assist in your form when required, this will help not only for the forced negatives but to prevent the risk of injury while working out@ home in solitude. In my experience though most people @ gyms have no problem spotting for a set or two

try wearing a backpack loaded with heavy weights. then do ultra wide pushups with them, letting ur body down slowly and then go back up on ur feet and lower urself again

forced negative backpack pushups are an idea. load ur backpack with weights and lower urself as if u were doing a pushup and go back up using ur feet.....so just lower urself with really heavy weights to the count of 5 with ultra wide pushups

to be honest the results were more at the strenght lvl i got stronger faster very very faster i of course got bigger but i got friends who are a lot bigger then me like a lot bigger and lift the same as i do

thats how i train and thats how ive always trained, see my bro had 35lbs dumbell so i started using those very early and couldnt lift it i gain the strenght to do it and it became easier and easier and now i simply stuck to that

hey scooby, ive been using the negative rep techniques quite often in my bicep workout but it seems to have caused me some bicep tendonitis which has begun to cause me shoulder pain. I have given it a few weeks rest and been taking anti-inflammatories, I was just wondering if you knew any exercises I can use to get rid of the the soreness and recover.

Depends on what you mean by "good looking chest". How many pounds/inches of muscle do you want to add? Figure on adding 5lbs of muscle a year if you are really dedicated.

If the negative takes less than 2 seconds, its too much weight. If you can hold if off more than 5s, its probably not enough weight.
