Did he write the suites this way or was this a mix? This really holds up well as "classical pieces." Thanks very much for the post. I never would have heard a lot of this otherwise.
@MASSEFFECTfan101 I have to say that none of Goldsmith's later Trek scores were as "big" and passionate as Star Trek: TMP, nothing ever topped "Ilia's Theme" and "The Enterprise"/"Leaving Drydock".
@FishfilmInc Yes. That way it would fit a little more. with the rest of the ending music. The ending part of the suite of made of three different pieces. End Title from TMP, Life is a Dream form Star Trek V, and End Credits from First Contact.
Jerry Goldsmith's Music I feel is the music that speaks true of Star Trek.
