What I wonder about is the "system" from education, welfare, family court, even the epidemic of "domestic abuse" (which usually involves restraining an irate woman from tearing the flesh from your face or taking a hammer to your dirtbike or some other irrational hormonal act). I would put myself down as very pro traditional marriage and by traditional I mean more than just between a man and a woman. I agree outside of children our modern views make marriage pointless. I have a great marriage and I could talk until the cows came home about the benefits of being in a GOOD relationship but you could have that without marriage.. If you don't want kids and you're not religious there is absolutely no point to marriage...

We've been through a lot together -experienced some personal tragedies but we got through them togther we've had a lot of good times too lot's of laughs like the time we had to balance a truck radio on a wooden board just to get sound at the drive in..hehehehehehe. I am not anti marriage either but the prospect of marriage is not a real safe bet for men. Its like betting your entire life savings on one spin of a roulette wheel it might be a great idea or it will utterly destroy you. I would like to see the entire young generation of men opt out of marriage just to see what would happen to society. Actually there are 3 rules I advise to all men. Dont let her move in, dont marry her, and for gods sake dont get her pregnant. Stay legally detached from women.

Thanks Bernard, another great one. This is also undeniable proof that we have culture managers. From an anecdotal point of view women still want to marry. Delaying marriage has nothing to do with "liberation" rather the sorry state of our 'service/BS' based economy and the longer time-line to become financially stable to rationally consider marriage and kids. Single moms are awful for children I speak from experience.
