Melizmatea << Yes he was dubbed, but it's a shame, even though Rossano was not a singer by any schance of the imagination. He did have a pleasent voice and with a little practice, might of pulled it off. There are several recordings of him on youtube. Even though Giorgio Tozzi has a beautiful voice.
the sheer power in this man's voice is unbelievable! his abdominal six pack must be a Baker's dozens! blood suckers don't know what "wise men never try " took? unbelievable!
Wow! This is fabulous! Captures the late 40's and early 50's.....three million G.I.'s returning to their wives and girl friends. The 1950's....the most romantic era the world has ever seen....or will likely ever see........again. Thanks for posting......
Oh yes ! This is the version I'll never forget. I've watched the movie about six times and I'll watch it again cos I think it's one of the best movies ever. When I first watched it I was in the RAF in Singapore.
A most heart-warming voice here....I wouldn't have minded being the "stranger across a crowded room" at all! What a loving version of this wonderful song from South Pacific! I do enjoy his special voice! Sing with the angels...they could probably use a fine bassso! Thanks for the Tribute, YOU TUBE! I do appreciate what you are doing!

I love South Pacific, and think this is a great song. But, let's be honest - does he sound French? His accent sounds like Count Dracula from Transylvania to me. Seriously.

Ezio Pinza sang Some Enchanted Evening in the published key of C. Tozzi sang it in Bb, a whole step lower, probably for comfort.

Thank you. My mom and sisters listened to this song from this album in the early 60's. I want to sing this song.

He was no Pinza.

@VinylToVideo And Pinza was no Tozzi! Both great basses....but totally different. Tozzi had the more beautiful instrument for me.
