A friend of mine told me they learned how to cook recipes from playing cooking mama. Looking at this I don't fancy how that's even possible. Personally if it involves cooking I'd rather get Americas test kitchen sure it's not really a game but it's so much more awesome than say a cookbook.

I love the DS Cookin mama^^ Its addicting. They should seriously put more in the game like options to get more and more dishes,or even create your own. Have more recipes (100's =p) from different cultures and for more fun. Theres so much more you could do with this.

I thought Cooking Mama looked like a lot of fun but I was disappointed when I found out that each and every step when preparing a meal was isolated. I think it would have been a lot better if they had taken out the interruptions.

cooking mama has always been horrible :( how the hell wants to cook in a game and thats the only thing you can do they dont even put in bosses !!! and theres no incentive to even cook you dont get anything! from it except useless unlockables!

plus cooking mama has always been a problem you fail one part and your more or less gonna get a bad score at the end :(

And I know some people will disagree with me but I didn't mind the voice acting. I thought they chose a very good voice for mama. The only time the voices annoyed me was when you had to push on a giant sandwhich and mama would scream each time you rapidly pressed the A button. Other than those small flause I think this was a great game! I am a very fair gamer in my opinion.

I just bought it today and I already love it! I am very good at games so I can handle over complicated controls. I didn't think they were bad at all. Just a little sensitive but I got over that when I tried the step a second time perfectly. The only thing I don't like were the mini mini games when you had to press a button real fast of twist it fast. I go as fast as the button will let me let I always fail. Also when you flip something and have to move your person it had alittle more trouble.

MY biggest problem with Cooking Mama 2 for the DS is that when boiling ingrediants the water wouldn't rise even on High temperatures. I failed making Lobster (Mostly lobster) and a few other dishes because of this problem. It's annoying as hell.

I received this game for Christmas (yesterday) and though I've only had it for two days, I can see its good and its bad points. Breaking an egg is really frustrating for me as well, but I guess what you have to do is set it to Practice and keep trying until you get a "Very Well Done."

That's really disappointing... I LOVE Cooking Mama. I even put up with the bad sensor in the 1st one for the Wii because I liked it so much. That is actually not entirley Nintendos fault. THeir Second(Companies they own), and Thrid(Companies that work with them but are freelance mostly) Party Companies are always trying something new. I would skip this and go for Order Up which was a success and not a failure like the Wii Cooking Mamas(although the idea works for the DS mostly). But anyways stupid ideas are the basis of Nintendo... remember their first popular game was about a fat italian construction worker saving his gf from DK.
