  • @thaddeuslarimer martial arts have been around for a long time. different scholls and art forms reconfigure the system and often change names. not really a big deal. looks like these guys are actually really good = most important thing.

  • wheres the leopaed if you dont mind me asking?? n i like the tradition in ur practice doe

  • @ShyningStar1 the set begins with the leopard paw (half-fist) and leopard claw (claw attack) put forth when presenting. also, dunno maybe some of the movements resemble a leopards movements.

  • yeah i understand i feel the kid @ 1:20 showed the more graceful movement the closest to resemble leopard movement(style)

  • awsome editing work.

  • Practicing Kung Fu myself i don't know the style of kenpo very well. I have some discontent with some things of the form but i think that is more a difference in styles. I must say thought the technique was good and there was a decent amount of power behind it. Good job.

  • that's pretty tight...

  • Excellent form. I will say that I learned the one you are doing as "bookset". It is an old Hung Gar form. The form Leopard, that I learned, from Mr. Bill Packer (RIP), has no similarities at all to what you guys are doing. I started with the American Kenpo Karate Academy. We were taught by Tomas Connor (RIP) who was taught by SGM Parker. As an additional note, Mr. Connor brought the Bookset form to Traco, his organization, from his studies in either Mexico or Central America, I believe.

  • i study TRACYS KENPO(currently a blue)...and we call it panther except for a couple of different strikes the movements in leopard look the same why is that? i know theres a concept to it...i will be gettin this form too because now i am studying AMERICAN KENPO as well under my instructor who studies under Mr. Larry Tatum cant wait

  • Yes, historically there are many different names for this form. Some call it the Book Set, also. Why? Because, this was originally going to be in Mr. Parker's book, "Secrets of Chinese Karate". It ended up being removed and replaced with the Two Man Set. (Great little book, by the way.)

We call it Leopard Form - it's the same thing.

    Thanks for watching!
