For most vocalists, the flaws and lack of effects and multiple takes are on full display live, but Sully is pretty close. One of the few hard rock bands I can still stomach...when I'm not in the mood for meshuggah or moonsorrow.

There's lots of good music out there. Check out Encyclopaedia Metallum. Lots of bands on that site.

@pokewita Check out High On Fire. They're good. Neurosis, Isis, Cult of Luna, Bathory. They're all good. I wasn't trying to be a prick, but I got linked to Godsmack on facebook and said I didn't like it, and all of a sudden everybody's fuckin with me and freakin out cos I'm 39 or something, when most of the metal music kids like is played by guys in their 30's and older. There's lots of good music out there. Check out Encyclopaedia Metallum. Lots of bands on that site.

agreed bigfish2311. I am 37, and I too listen. From Classical to Beebop to surfer tunes, and blues, jazz, bluegrass, and writers like John Prine and Cowboy Junkies... So far, I've lived, and GODSMACK keeps every instrument included and the composition with poetry is little matched. Goo for them to think before a song is a dollar. Very good listening.

@ltuomela yes i know that since i am starting to learn to play the guitar. However guitar hero games don't play like an actual guitar. It would likely be a lot different playing a godsmack game rather then the fingerings to a power cord

@CameronWoodward107 actually over the course of the last couple months i have been taking guitar lessons and he taught me how to play voodoo already now we are working on a lot of other chords and scales/warm-ups now. Probably gonns star learning some more songs soon :<D

I love godsmack! Did you know early on they were an Alice in Chains cover band? This is no shit but they deny it now. They also deny where they got the name of the bane. Godsmack is the name of an AIC song.
