awsome cover... boston fans will like it less... stryper fans will like it more... the drums are the biggest difference. i like both bands equally now i have a heavier version of this song to jam out to!!!! still LOVE the original that first album hit in 75 and the production sounded like 89 or 90 !!! boston was 15 years ahead of there time. is it boston... no but it is a damn good version in my opinion
After haveing listed to this crap all the way through with the HORRIBLE drumming especially on the verses, they didn't even play the best part of the song at the end!!! Totally embarrasing!! You have 2 guitar players in the band and supposedly Tom on this trac and then YOU DON'T PLAY THE 3 PART HARMONY AT THE END!!!
well they have tom scholz who really played 2/3 of the instraments on the boston version. so you could say it is peace of mind by boston featuring stryper lol
Tbh, better than I thought it was ever gonna be. But ive gotta say as much as I like Stryper for their incredible vocals and awesome guitar work... the problem is this version is way too saturated. It loses the groove inwhich it is epically known for. Its a shame in that respect, but a great shot at doing a cover none the less. Atleast it wasn't a monumental cockup like some, and it stays true to the original in so many ways. I'd sooner listen to In God We Trust tho and leave it to orig.Boston!
As an old tymer, I gotta say, this is close to being better than the original! Nothing against Boston, and let's face it, they did write the thing - still this really is AWESOME!
Stryper has always been my favorite group./ Rob is my alll time. Robert is the greatest drummer who ever lived. His style is so unique. He is the one whos responsible for me being the metaldrummer I am today!!!
This version of piece of mind is definitely Killer. The only thing thats missing from this song is the guirtar solos at the end.
@BostonWalksOn Bluesbred3 is right. Tom does play with them, and it's not TERRIBLE, but he does tweak it unnecessarily. Tom, in my opinion, was guilty of "tweaking" the classic Boston by turning classic rock into rocket science
Boston fans should be thankful the world had a Michael Sweet for the position. I think this version is pretty good.

Boston is/was a 1000x times better and more talented than Stryper will ever be!

O just can't stand the verses. The drums are hard to stomach. But the rest is pretty cool

I think the song was done well by Micheal Sweet; HOWEVER, Robert is the one that makes it sounds like junk, bad drumming on it .....DISLIKE

Micheal Sweet, I'm sorry for your loss. I stand by Stryper and your belief, but don't tweak a classic.

I think Stryper did a great job putting their own style into the song. It would have sucked if they would have done the same exact thing.
