  • @dlbbam, makes sense, because so many of the folks from Eire and Scotland wound up in the mountains.

    The temperance reel, or teetotalers reel, is an Irish tune that's still common in Ireland. So it's no wonder you hear Irish here.

    There are several old Irish tunes to be found here, but the style in general seems to take more after Scottish.
