  • I think when one dies the energy of that one goes out and joins other energy and keeps on going

  • @romnrino I sure as hell hope not, some people have some really bad energy.

  • god, jesus, alah, buddah,,those are all just names. names dont matter. in the end there is a god. is his name jesus? is it alah? who knows. who cares. the fact is there is a god. all we know is what we were taught since birth. if u were told his name is george u will swear by that till the end. just respect others and what they were taught and just believe in A GOD. a creator. whoever this creator is he is a good god. in the end he will not send anyone to hell for getting his name wrong

  • you are a fat,ugly,sick fu@k!!god is real,and the west memphis 3 are innocent.you crazy fu@king demon

  • @jesslynnwill +1! Pick up a book next time, instead of a KFC bucket, you idiot.

  • I'm not buying this one. God is real and Christianity alone continues to grow despite the claims of so many that it is "outdated." Philosophers who claimed that Christianity would be dead soon- 600 years ago, who based this assumption on some of the very same thoughts that atheists continue to behave as though they invented, are dead and gone while Christ continues on, appealing to the intellectual faculties of millions of intelligent people. Get over it, God isn't going any where.

  • I think you should stop worshipping BigMacs

  • I see you've watched zeitgeist.

    Let me break it down:

Religion was the first form of science.

Primitive man, scared shitless by thunder & heavy storms, began looking for a way to explain things. Without technology, they couldn't observe very much. So, they came up with what was a great idea back then (the idea of a god.)

Now, we've progressed and religion is out dated.

I don't pretend toknow, but I have reason to believe there is NO afterlife.

Let's not try and muddy the waters.

  • @spclagentsteve Nope. never saw Zeitgeist.

  • @stonedcommander I find that hard to believe, being that in the first 5 minutes, it goes straight into talking about how almost all religions are the same in that their gods seem to be derivatives of the sun and the moon and all that bullshit.

  • @spclagentsteve I know there is no afterlife

  • @XtraordinaryEndeavor That merely makes you arrogant and ignorant. To claim that you have knowledge that can only be attained through absolute death is asinine, considering, and hold on, this idea is a hard one to grasp... You are ALIVE, and NOT DEAD, is absolutely stupid, and proves that you are not fit for having any sort of intellectual back and forth. The door is that way. ---------->

  • Pretty thought-provoking.

  • So you disabled comments on your WM3 post like the cowardly little bastard I assume you are. I'll call others assholes and fuckers but not let them respond, what a dick bag move! I support a FAIR TRIAL for those 3 in jail and if you had taken the time to educate yourself about this topic you would see they clearly didn't get one. Go research a little on the investigations going on on the WMPD at the time or see how many people either resigned almost immediately after the trial or were "moved"

  • Free the West Memphis Three!

  • hi, i attached a video which is a commercial for part 2(i think) of a 4 part video i made for the church on the evolution of religion. if you are so inclined, follow the link and check it out, part 1 is called "the evolution of religion" i think u will find it mind blowing.

  • An afterlife without God. Sounds like Mormonism. There is no God in Mormonism, only a highly evolved lifeform that calls itself God...well, actually, calls itself "Elohim".

  • @stonedcommander

I suggest that an afterlife without a god is a much more likely scenario than an afterlife with a god.

Simply put, in my opinion, we have two very unlikely permises:

    1. God exists

    2. There is an afterlife

That BOTH these unlikely premises are true is more unlikely than if only one or none of them are true.

p.s. stonedcommander, you appear to be on a journey towards non belief, good luck, I won't be praying for you.

Very interesting topic. As a buddhist, we belief that after you do die, your consciousness/soul would be reincarnated. You could be reincarnated into human, animal, insect or a plant etc. Surely this cannot be proven scientifically. But we all do reincarnate in some way: all our energy and matter returns to nature when we die. Our molecules will be become part of new or other lifeforms. Didn't mean to shove you my religious beliefs down your throat, but it is quite logic in my opinion.

  • Thanks, i love hearing of different beliefs.

The idea of coming back as a different life form is very interesting.. perhaps we were the blade of grass and now a man...destined to repeat the cycle over and over, as many life forms...i like your beliefs, they are beautiful.

  • @isamu135 actually, the buddhist belief is not actually that you will be reincarnated. That was misinterpreted at some point or the other, and somehow spread like wildfire, because the thought that you were alive once however long ago is intriguing of course.

Buddhists merely believe that everyone (anyone who has ever existed, the earth, the universe) are all the same people, and that you can't be happy unless you work to make everyone else happy, because you are intrinsically everyone else.

  • @isamu135 if this is true then I want to reincarnate as a great white shark

  • @isamu135 YES!!!

  • 2/2

If I could choose an afterlife, I wished one that preserves my soul and most importantly one that give me answers of some big questions like: How does life and the universe originated? Is there or are there any gods? Even questions like: Who build the pyramids? And how? Are there aliens? And I want to be able to travel through space and time to be able to witness these events and see the rest of the universe. Surely this is not really buddhist of me but it's just a man's fantasy :)

  • You're awesome, and you should FEEL awesome.

  • we dont go to heaven when we DIE ---we go to heaven when we LIVE

  • God is a God of the living not the dead and the kindom of heaven is within and we can only enter into the presence of God in the kingdom of heaven if we are filled with the holy spirit and you cant get filled with the holy spirit unless you partake in the flesh and blood --hebrews 2:14-15-john 6:53-56--in the presence of God 1 day - 1000 years and that is eternal life talked about in the bible and the only way to enter into his holy presence is by the flesh and blood--magic musys and mushy tea

  • When theirs an unknown that we currently cannot answear humans have and will always create their own answears that pleases them, (like the sun, back then people did not know what it was so they made up answears.)

but to answear your question, theirs does not have to be a Supreme bein in order for life to have a purpose.

  • I'm happy hear a Christian like this. You are right about the ancient creating religion from the stars, moon and sun. When I think of the beginning of religion I think of shaman explain the world. Over time these stories evolve and become more mystical. In the end religion it is self is a man made creation. This why I less opposed to those theist without religion or dogma. I too think it is possible for some sort of afterlife; just unlikely. And I'm atheist.

  • If want to learn more here's the order for Christianity: Egypt/Sumerian > Zoroastrianism > Judism > Christianity & Muslim > Baha'i

  • hmm, I can't imagine "no god"

However I can imagine no afterlife. I think most people will have no afterlife. Afterlife is not for everyone.

  • I'm SURE I've heard this song before...

    Umm.. damn...

Wait, was this from a .hack// game?

Yeah, I think it was! Weird.

  • NO WAIT!

    IT'S FROM ETERNAL DARKNESS!

No wonder I felt so creeped out when I heard the song start up.

Could Stonedcommander be a fan of that game? I kinda hope so, it was really good.

  • As weird as it sounds: I am an atheist...but believe in the afterlife. Too many patients (that flatlined) come back with interesting stories...just my $0.02.

  • @matias: The best explanation you can come up with is "afterlife"? Sounds like wishful thinking, since these experiences have been replicated in labs and space training facilities (the lack of oxygen to the brain is usually the key). It's all about how the brain works, as if that isn't interesting enough.

Being an atheist doesn't make you automatically smart, rational, or scientific. It just leaves you open to the possibility.

  • @matias2309

Ever heard of NDEs being induced by powerful neuromodulators? Also just my $0.02.

  • Its possible. Like time-travel. Elves, ogres, trolls etc. running around in Iceland.

    It's possible.

But we can know for sure only when we die, so dont fucking let us to intenfere with our current life with all this fucking bullshit of which around, fanaticism, hate, racism etc.etc. is born.

  • Love it when you do these. Always thought provoking. I've seen people die. Other than the heat leaving their body, I don't think we've found anything akin to another type of energy that could be a soul or life force escaping at the last minute.

I've thought about this, and if I were going to guess at any kind of life after death, my guess would be time. Time is a dimension and is not linear. We only perceive it as linear. So maybe after we die our consciousness starts over again from birth.

  • Buddhism teaches some kind of afterlife and at the same time does not declare that there are gods. So in a way there are lots of people on earth dealing with your question for a long time already.

  • Fascinating thought!

  • Why would a deity be required for a continued existence? The deity is there as a scarecrow, or a scaresoul, so you'll behave according to the will of the rulers in this life. He really doesn't do much else but require obedience, or else. I don't see why this deity has to be there in order for there to be an "afterlife", of some sort.

  • Technically you could be an atheist and still beleive in an afterlife. I'm a Christain but an atheist is just someone who doubts the existance of God otherwise almost anything goes, thanks. /

  • I'm really glad that you're open-minded. Your videos are great, man. I'm an atheist, but I find your videos to be thought-provoking.

  • The fact that all of us are here is already 100% proof that life can and does exist even after many years of nothing.

And this is the worst case scenario too because the transition could have occurred instantly meaning you never die.

Now this doesn't mean you can always accurately judge the future by the past, but it's a positive, promising start, a 1:1 ratio start as to what to expect in the afterlives.

    Good video.

  • Buddhism is mostly atheistic depending on personal choices and what they choose to believe and it has a form of afterlife. Great vid.

  • It's genuinely extremely refreshing to hear someone entertain ideas that pop into their head like this. I mean, you may not be an expert, but you think about things in a wonderful exploratory manner. That's the kind of way I would LOVE people all around the world to think. Living in London, UK I've met hundreds of people, most of which have no intrigue... no desire to think about things.

So many of your videos display this kind of innocent curiosity and I love it. Keep it up dude.

  • Depends on how long it'd go on for whether it'd be a good thing.

    watch?v=MToOECmwMB0

  • I know that some atheists believe in an afterlife, but I don't know any on youtube. Or at least I haven't heard them discuss this yet. It would be interesting to see some vids from atheists that do believe there is some sort of afterlife. Hope you get some video responses.

  • I do believe in the afterlife. I believe that the univers(es) is infinite in time (at least relative to the others to a certain extent) and that the multiverse is connected through wormholes and possibly blackholes etc. And that there is an infinite amount of time, so that eventually whatever it is that made me "me" will inevitably come back together at some time trillions of years in the future.

Kind of a sciency afterlife thing.

  • @GallusSapien not to be an ass or anything but with the lack of of evidence. your sense of the afterlife is just as valid as the christian heaven. althou i liked the idea

  • haha well its not something I believe firmly. I just think that multiple time dimensions is likely and that accounts for the whole "infinite time" paradox. And I think it makes sense that if there really is an infinite amount of time, that it only makes sense that I come back together a long time in the future. I don't have faith in this concept, it just seems to make sense to me. Its also not a preference because I would prefer just having the one life. I'd also be happy to hear a flaw presentd

  • not sure if has any direct flaws, only maybe that the multiverse hypothesis is still not proven[as far as i know]. im not trying to refute you or anything. was just eager to poke a finger in your side :p

  • What if when you die "that's it" Just like before you were born? That's my guess so far. If there is something better prove or show me. We can only hope...

  • @dalejr88

First thanks for your comment, you stumbled onto something very positive, most skeptics say you die and that's it. You ask what about before you are born.

This sets up this worse case scenario: nothing happens for a long time and then poof you are born life. So this is a 1:1 ratio so far that even after a long time of nothing you get born. 1:1 odds is a great start and adds hope for an afterlife. Thanks again.

  • @SounzNice wut?

  • @dalejr88

The worst case is that before you were born there was nothing for a long time and then a miracle you came into this life. So do the math: the odds of you being born after thousands of years are nothing are 100%. It's a 1:1 ratio. This adds a lot of hope .. even evidence if you wish that after this life you will see life again. The likely odds so far based on reality? 1:1. This doesn't mean the denominator will change to 2 or 3, but it's a positive start. Hope that helps.
