I have to say I never bad mouth fellow hunters but...its people like you that give waterfowlers a bad name. Not only did you educate dozens of geese and no doubt wound many with your 'flock' shooting, but you sound like redneck trash. You guys have three shots in your gun. Why land dozens of geese, then shoot? This is in no way 'goose hunting' as one man said, its goose shooting. Call it what you want, you look like high school boys.

These wounded birds fly until the pain overtakes them and end up shivering on the cold ground after dark, heads pushed into the grass in response to the agony that slowly grinds away at their insides as they gradually, inevitably die while the killer sleeps in his warm bed, basking in blissful ignorance to what he's done.

I grew up hunting. I'm aware of man's footprint regarding housing. Had an "awakening". Stopped hurting animals and started saving them (I'm not better, just different). Paying for habitat so you can kill its wildlife: I disagree with this logic. Animals don't deserve to die because we enjoy the sport and flavor.

The federal government is often the funding source for pass-through grants, which are given to an individual state for distribution to the applicant. In a few cases, other sources provide grant funds, which are then administered by the requesting state. I pay .5 million a year in taxes. Your assumption of my lack efforts is grossly "off target".

Thus if they are not hunted they would starve, get diseased and suffer. Research it becaue they have tried banning deer hunting in server states and brought it back because of what happend. Also the life these wild animals lived is way better then any pen raised one that the rest of the population eats.. so target them before a hunter please

On the opposite side of the fence, Snow Geese are overpopulating due to their consumption of the mid-west's left-over crops and winter wheat during their winter stay in this area. The damage they're creating in Canada is shocking. Humans created this, thereby creating the responsibility to thin them. As an experimental aircraft pilot I hate to see any bird go down as I've flown with geese off my wing more than once. I'll take your advice and research first. Take care.
