@gaspump I finally got Balthier into my lineup and he's basically a copy of Mustadio mixed with the skills of a thief. He's got the gun abilities of don't move/don't act and an extra of turning one to stone and then a bunch of thieving skills so he's useful. But, you have to build up his exp/skills while typically by now you have several characters already at a much higher level. I've decided to dedicate time to him just so I can play him through the game. Cloud is the hard one to build up!
@moa373 Only class I can think of for you is to be just a Knight and have White Magic as your back up skill. There are specially unique characters that can join your team and one of them is a Holy Knight, which is basically a Paladin. I hope this helps.
Of all the games labeled as Final Fantasy, I did not play anything except those with Tactics. I find FFTactics Series more worthwhile rather than simply doing puzzles and the same old FF RPGs.

Ultimate FFT party in my eyes? (Without Arithmatician, of course, since that class is OP in my opinion) female Dark Knight with Mystic Arts subskill, the reflexes reaction ability and the Escutcheon, Tynar Rouge, and Chaos Blade equipped. Dancer with White Mage Subskills and Shiriahadori reaction ability with a Chantage and a ribbon, Male bard with Reflexes and a Kaiser Shield equipped. You have the Dark Knight make enemies undead with the Corruption spell, then pick the enemies off one by one.
worst class is calculators. You have to actually equip their ability on a different class to take advantage of it. Bards and dancers are also notoriously unreliable, slow, and pitifully weak. I would probably take Thieves and some of their class abilities over a calc, bard, or dancer.
Don't know what anyone elses opinion is on this,but in my opinion the weakest class in this game is thief. They are simply the most pathetic fucking class I've encountered and yes i have beaten the game and unlocked ALL job classes.

Still,It's a good suggestion. If someone doesn't have the thief class maxed out then giving them throw command is a good idea. You're right. It makes them more useful.
@Lance241151 Steal heart is by far one of the most powerful abilities there is. They also have high speed, only being out ran by Ninja's... I guess it's all in how you use them.
I have a character that fully mastered all classes and id say my favorite class was the calculator. Being able to calculate and cast on all enemies with death, flare or holy without needing MP or Range is just godlike. I prefer blade grasp over hamedo, plus throw on any shield and most melee/range attacks will be capped at 7% or less. I was hoping the archer class would be more fun but they are the biggest dissapointment for me. Was charge +20 really necessary lolol

do knights and squires have the same damage output if we were to say they both have the same weps? cuz im wondering whether I should just keep Ramza as a knight w/ double swords and punch art since chakra, revive, stigma, earth slash and wave fist are too godly. I mean the fact that they dont even use up mp is crazy
@henryaudubon Also, Knights can equip Knightswords like Excalibur (auto-haste) , Ragnarok (auto-shell), Chaos Blade (auto-regen) , Save the Queen (auto-protect). I have a unit that I made a Knight after learning the two swords ability of the Ninja. I equipped it with Excalibur and Save the Queen in both hands and pretty much destroyed almost every unit since.
Obviously the best class combo is a monk/squire combo. Use Accumulate/Focus for a while till the enemy gets to you, then one hit them all for 500ish damage :D. Also this is the best FF game ever!
I remember I was around the 3rd grade when this came out. Played it and love it to bits. I still get chills when I see the beauty of this game and the integrity Squaresoft had.
the LOL about this is that the song is great (especially if you can hear the base in it) and i had no CLUE it existed until i just left the game running at the title screen while i went to take a piss. walk back in room see this!
I downloaded this a little bit ago on PSN and I just barely won it for the first time and I have to say this is one of the greatest games ever made. The story and the music are just phenomenal. This game even dominates games coming out nowadays. .
I'm still early in the game, but the most viscious enemy in this game so far has been the wizard. Once I got MPattackUP and raised my mp I simply picked off enemies one by one. And I'd keep an archer with Item Abilities behind him. Deadly combo. Of course, there'd be asshole teleporters who'd teleport next to me and I'd be taken with him.... }:(

i think that knights are decent, there really good with knight swords. i think there good early on because they have a lot more health then any other class. and you get them early on. i personally think the worst class is archers i mean the only good thing is innate move i guess and there abilities aside from there main ones like concentrate, etc. ninjas are beast because of there two swords abilities.

Guys the best jobs hands down are dancers and bards. You'll have the enemy begging for mercy after about the 2nd or 3rd turn cause they'll all be FROGS!
And I still say, anything on anyone still has to connect. It all depends on Faith, Bravery, Speed, and Luck. It's not like the other FFs where it's 100% all the time. Now, if you were to give your Bards and Dancers the R-Ability, "Vanish", while they were singing/dancing? That would make it a worthwhile wait in safety.
@XfullmetalRocker Well yea, but I'm talking about instant xp, instant leveling up, and instant rewards... And all you have to do is stand there. You don't even have to move, and you can set dance and sing as a secondary skill. Meaning dancing knights, thief's, mages etc. Also theirs more than just the nameless dance, there's the slow dance, the speed song, the battle song, etc. When it comes to most bosses they have gear you completely need, that is why a singer with speed song is important.
@HistorysMysterys I just don't use dancers and bards that much, I mainly use Time Mages for speed with concentrate. Oh, and Ramza is a powerhouse by himself if you can power up all your team mates speed, his attack, and use Time Magic to speed them all up, and use Slow on the enemies, your enemy is pretty much screwed.
@XfullmetalRocker True and I played FFT many times without heavily using the bards/dancers. But the last time I played it I found that they were essential with squire sec skills in getting mass XP and mass JPs. Sure many different types are good against bosses and story battles, but when it comes to grinding leveling dancers/bards are by far the best. Besides most of the bosses you'll wanna use thief's and other such types for the loot. Ramza is ok with his yell and scream command.
@XfullmetalRocker But think about it, yell for one character and your speed goes up one, cheer boosts everyone in your party. It may not be full proof, but it at least boosts more than 1 member. Ramza is GG to use with both dancers and bards and sometimes I just make Ramza one because I can't stand watching the old tired yell command.

Although I enjoyed playing them more than the Knight classes. Summoners are the best mages hands down (if you got tons of MP).

I remember a few combinations I had fun playing around with...Time Mage Sub-Commands and movement ability (Time Magic and Teleport) Rolled into an Archer. Teleport to the highest point on the map and use haste to plug away.
Then I remember playing with Knight/Ninja...dual wielding Knight Swords was fun. And when I had a plentiful stock, I could chuck them sons'a'bitches.
Guys I remember playing a game on Playstation 2 that had basically the same style of play but a different name and better graphics. Can someone maybe point out what it was I dont remember the name. The main character was a Swordsmen and his homeboy was a Dragoon/Lancer. It played like exactly the same pretty much.
Monk is the best all-around physical job class. It has the multiple-healing CHAKRA and has a short-range revive technique as well! And Earth Slash can be EXTREMELY useful as an offensive! The only problems a monk can face is terrain height and floating enemies iirc.
Calculator is the best magical job.... you just have to learn how to use it (which can be confusing at first). The up-side is your 'physical range' is infinite and you don't rely on MP! [continued]
Do not just depend on WHAT CLASS if you want to make the strongest characters! Blade grasp as a counter is very important when you raise your character's brave up to 97. This will make you dodge weapons and most physical monster attacks (other than spin-fist and a couple others) 97% of the time!
But if you want unparalleled resistances to magic, lower your faith as low as you can get it (I forget what the lowest point is). But this will also make your magic offense and magical healing just as void! Also, do not forget: Monk abilities are NOT magic-based! So, lowering or raising faith does NOT make them more potent.

first i adde some dark brunette color to her hair
second i added red to her gloves and for the upper part of her arm i adde dark grey to make her black wristbands
and finally and last, i added white color to her upper torso wearing and dark grey to the lower part and to finish i added her own skin color to the belly part to separate the shirt from the skirt.
and that's all i did it on paint, i'll show u later.
disgaea 3 sucks. i also paid 80 bucks (b4 the bundle) to get DLC. and it was pretty disent but not worth it. paying that much for half a game and some other crap was not wise. i liked disgaea 1&2 better. they so were much funner than than 3. don't get me wrong its a good game but it lacked that essence of a greater one. iam looking forward to a 4th. once i get my ps3 fixed... again..... btw im buying this in a few days. looking forward to it
Why the hell couldn't SE make a FFT game with this seriousness (story wise). Fine and dandy if you like the more cartoonish storyline with the Advance releases, but there is definitely an audience for the more mature and in my opinion more related to our own reality that was in War of the Lions.

I downloaded this a little bit ago on PSN and I just barely won it for the first time and I have to say this is one of the greatest games ever made. The story and the music are just phenomenal. This game even dominates games coming out nowadays. .

I'm still early in the game, but the most viscious enemy in this game so far has been the wizard. Once I got MPattackUP and raised my mp I simply picked off enemies one by one. And I'd keep an archer with Item Abilities behind him. Deadly combo. Of course, there'd be asshole teleporters who'd teleport next to me and I'd be taken with him.... }:(

Ramza - Monk with two-swords ability
Summoner - calculator's math ability and black flare

Dancer/Bard - fly or teleport movement
Another monk, samurai, or lancer.
Dancer is gone when Agrias joins. Bard is gone when Orlandu joins.

i think that knights are decent, there really good with knight swords. i think there good early on because they have a lot more health then any other class. and you get them early on. i personally think the worst class is archers i mean the only good thing is innate move i guess and there abilities aside from there main ones like concentrate, etc. ninjas are beast because of there two swords abilities.
god i love this game i think ive beaten it about 6 or 7 times now.

Guys the best jobs hands down are dancers and bards. You'll have the enemy begging for mercy after about the 2nd or 3rd turn cause they'll all be FROGS!

And I still say, anything on anyone still has to connect. It all depends on Faith, Bravery, Speed, and Luck. It's not like the other FFs where it's 100% all the time. Now, if you were to give your Bards and Dancers the R-Ability, "Vanish", while they were singing/dancing? That would make it a worthwhile wait in safety.

@XfullmetalRocker Well yea, but I'm talking about instant xp, instant leveling up, and instant rewards... And all you have to do is stand there. You don't even have to move, and you can set dance and sing as a secondary skill. Meaning dancing knights, thief's, mages etc. Also theirs more than just the nameless dance, there's the slow dance, the speed song, the battle song, etc. When it comes to most bosses they have gear you completely need, that is why a singer with speed song is important.

@HistorysMysterys I just don't use dancers and bards that much, I mainly use Time Mages for speed with concentrate. Oh, and Ramza is a powerhouse by himself if you can power up all your team mates speed, his attack, and use Time Magic to speed them all up, and use Slow on the enemies, your enemy is pretty much screwed.

@XfullmetalRocker True and I played FFT many times without heavily using the bards/dancers. But the last time I played it I found that they were essential with squire sec skills in getting mass XP and mass JPs. Sure many different types are good against bosses and story battles, but when it comes to grinding leveling dancers/bards are by far the best. Besides most of the bosses you'll wanna use thief's and other such types for the loot. Ramza is ok with his yell and scream command.

@XfullmetalRocker But think about it, yell for one character and your speed goes up one, cheer boosts everyone in your party. It may not be full proof, but it at least boosts more than 1 member. Ramza is GG to use with both dancers and bards and sometimes I just make Ramza one because I can't stand watching the old tired yell command.

@Roxas935 Yea but you can't have everything, they were missing tons of magic from other people as well. The mages are ok in the first 2 chapters, but I'm not a huge fan of them either. Although I enjoyed playing them more than the Knight classes. Summoners are the best mages hands down (if you got tons of MP).

@Roxas935 Breaking equipment you wanna steal is never good, I happen to think Knights are highly overrated unless you wanna break speed and power whitch Dancers can do a lot easier. Mimes? Not a very productive job to use considering they don't earn JP's.. Goons? Same as knight, not particularly useful. I remember a few combinations I had fun playing around with...Time Mage Sub-Commands and movement ability (Time Magic and Teleport) Rolled into an Archer. Teleport to the highest point on the map and use haste to plug away.
Then I remember playing with Knight/Ninja...dual wielding Knight Swords was fun. And when I had a plentiful stock, I could chuck them sons'a'bitches.

Guys I remember playing a game on Playstation 2 that had basically the same style of play but a different name and better graphics. Can someone maybe point out what it was I dont remember the name. The main character was a Swordsmen and his homeboy was a Dragoon/Lancer. It played like exactly the same pretty much.

4 best jobs in my opinion are Ninja, Monk, Samurai, Lancer. But once you get Orlandu and Beowulf they are pretty much the best characters.

Monk is the best all-around physical job class. It has the multiple-healing CHAKRA and has a short-range revive technique as well! And Earth Slash can be EXTREMELY useful as an offensive! The only problems a monk can face is terrain height and floating enemies iirc.
Calculator is the best magical job.... you just have to learn how to use it (which can be confusing at first). The up-side is your 'physical range' is infinite and you don't rely on MP! [continued]

Do not just depend on WHAT CLASS if you want to make the strongest characters! Blade grasp as a counter is very important when you raise your character's brave up to 97. This will make you dodge weapons and most physical monster attacks (other than spin-fist and a couple others) 97% of the time!

But if you want unparalleled resistances to magic, lower your faith as low as you can get it (I forget what the lowest point is). But this will also make your magic offense and magical healing just as void! Also, do not forget: Monk abilities are NOT magic-based! So, lowering or raising faith does NOT make them more potent.

no mean her sprite, i just did an editing of the female arecher's sprite:
first i adde some dark brunette color to her hair
second i added red to her gloves and for the upper part of her arm i adde dark grey to make her black wristbands
and finally and last, i added white color to her upper torso wearing and dark grey to the lower part and to finish i added her own skin color to the belly part to separate the shirt from the skirt.
and that's all i did it on paint, i'll show u later.

disgaea 3 sucks. i also paid 80 bucks (b4 the bundle) to get DLC. and it was pretty disent but not worth it. paying that much for half a game and some other crap was not wise. i liked disgaea 1&2 better. they so were much funner than than 3. don't get me wrong its a good game but it lacked that essence of a greater one. iam looking forward to a 4th. once i get my ps3 fixed... again..... btw im buying this in a few days. looking forward to it

Why the hell couldn't SE make a FFT game with this seriousness (story wise). Fine and dandy if you like the more cartoonish storyline with the Advance releases, but there is definitely an audience for the more mature and in my opinion more related to our own reality that was in War of the Lions.
