yeah, its really just them messing around. its not part of the main plot at all. so theres really no need to watch it unless you are curious about side-story-things about the characters

@eeveesnoopy I really thought the first one was a retelling of Onikakushi-hen.

And the second one was basically the entire series wrapped up in a extra sparkly mahou-shoujo sequence.

You're right, there's "no need" to watch them, but they are fun to watch.

@RandomAvatarFan Yeah, that's why I'm watching them. I wasn't trying to argue anything, I was just saying it for the people that think Higurashi is all ruined because of these. It's not mandatory to watch them to understand the plot, but basically extras. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that.
