I wish their were many more Kelly in the police force. Four armed men that robbed a Cambio in the heart of Ocho Rios was challenged by officer Kelly. He was off duty and all by himself when he was told of the robbery in progress. In fact it was reported that he was eating at a fast food joint, when he wast told. The law states, police may use deadly force if he think his life is in danger. The video shows “Ching Sing” tossing a stone at the policeman, to us this might not be enough to determine threat to life, but the vid only show part of the confrontation. We don’t know what happened prior.

Whether we like it or not, to prove murder by a on duty policeman is very difficult. The laws clearly states, a police can use deadly force when he thinks his or others life is in danger. If you want the police to stop shooting, lobby your legislatures to get the laws changed. Emotion aren't going to do it. Street talk & court talk is very different. The commisioner compromised the case by ordering the policemen arrest based on the video,without a investigation. That's illegal under JA laws

The only policeman might have commited a crime here is the one beating "Ching Sing". Emotions & court of law isn't the same. From a legal stanpoint, the policeman that shot him, can claim self defense because of the rock that was thrown at him. According to JA laws, the tape cannot be admitted into evidence, if the owner of the cell phone isn't identified & give the phone up for testing. If not only eye witnesses may give statement, and as u c on the tape it will go against "Chin Sing".

Well unfortunately that's the way it is for us. It's not that the justice system won't convict in their favor, It's because the politics that protect criminals in Ja stinks. The police are just as frustrated as the citizens. Didn't you hear the people in the background cheering and encouraging the cops to kill him. You have no clue, i'm just as frustrated as they are. criminals murder 1600 jamaicans anualy. You are talking about a island with a population of 2.8mil & 4400 sq miles

It is a sad, sad day that a Black man is gunned down in the street like a dog. I'm used to this in Amerikka, but it's shocking that a policeman would do this to a fellow Black man. I hope the policeman is tried, convicted, and given life imprisonment for murder.

The justice sysytem & the laws are antiquated, rendering it impossible for the police to apprehend and gain conviction in court. The crooked politicians keep it that way to protect their criminal supporters. Murder is defined by judges & lawyers. I'm sure if a person kill your child, parents or brother, you wouln't mind if you got the chance to kill them.

@AFN41 No, I'm not Jamaican. Additionally, I can't advocate murdering someone just because I think they deserve it. Two wrongs don't make a right. The police murdering that man like a dog without trial is just at despicable as him allegedly murdering his girlfriend. It's kinda of scary in ANY society when police feel they should be the judge and jury b/c their justice system won't convict in their favor. That man has but ONE Judge whom he will answer to, as will the murdering police.

One of the good points in this video is, it gives big publicity to a immense problem we face in Jamaica. Expatriates and their forign born cronies that are involved in drugs & all other crimal ventures sends automatic rifles and all sort of killing machines to jamaica.
