They change very little but they also allow us to continue making smaller more efficient and more densely packed transistors. Without the High-K gates moores law would likely have been halted. To me thats a pretty big deal, anyways this guy is a nut.. lol

@NitroNein yes I know it was 2 years old, but it is still relevant . Just making the point that without the High-K insulators we wouldn't be where we are now. What was the limit of the traditional insulator like 65 or 55nm processes. You seem awfully irritated for no reason; they do change very little but they affect a lot in terms of technology.
