Nice piece. We did this earlier at our 9-lessons-&-carols event, sandwiched between "There is no Rose" and "Balulalow" with an excellent harpist. Hadn't heard it before, but I thought I could detect hints of Debussy as well as the piano concerto, esp. the cadenza in the 1st. mvt. I thin it's meant to be a musical depiction of falling snow.
