  • @Kaution747 yes they do puff up. i see mine puff up all the time. they do it either out of excitement or when they feel threatened.

  • If I put 10 ghost shrimps and 1 dwarf puffer together, in your opinion, do you think the shrimps will survive in the long term?

  • @sdgsdf45 yes. i used to have 3, now 2, and they are fine w my GS :)

  • @NaomiHa Thanks! I am planning to have a community tank. More fishes, less lonely, more fun!

  • where can i buy one of these

  • definitely vicious. I have some Green spotted ones, and they don't play nice with anybody.

  • They look like a healthy happy bunch.

  • man how many gallons is that?

    sick. nice song too!

  • They try and eat anything that is moving but eachother really. But they tend to leave alone otos and coraydoras!

  • can you have som many of them i a tank without problems? :)

  • I have a 75g tank and I can safely get by with 20~26 DWARF puffers.

Google AqAdvisor. Its a calculator that will tell you what you can and can't do with your tank.

  • how big is you tank cuz i want that much puffers ?

  • puffer raip

  • Aww, its the cutest ravage attack ever!

  • awesome

  • were can u get them

  • you can get them at any idependent pet shop thats where i always see them

  • Are they tropical?

  • freshwater tropical

  • Its like a party sub.

  • Hahaha! I'll never be able to look at a party sub the same way again!

  • WOO the offspring!

  • The requirement of 30 gallons is correct. Not only for space for the fish to swim, but bioload requirements, the more fish you have in a tank, the heavier the bioload and more poluted your tank will get at a quicker rate. The bacteria that breaks down things in the tank can't keep up with a high bioload in a small tank. The fish will eventually die if not taken care of properly.

  • nice puffer fish

  • i got 2 puffers at petsmart b4!!!.. and they sat at the bottom all the time and they were so mean!!.. and they died because some guy killed them.. i brought it for speech class.. and some1 brought it home!!! ,and killed it.. he TOOK IT HOMe to wash it@_@i learned my lesson but i might try again sometime..

  • what??? random

  • i have one indian dwarf and hes lots of fun i have him in a tea with two spotted corrys a zibbra dani and an african dwarf frog and they all seem to get along

  • Can this tiny puffers be mixed with a big Goldfish?

  • No. All freshwater puffers (like dwarfs) are warm-water, or tropical, fish. Goldfish are cold water. A puffer would require a heater, while a heater would make it too hot for the goldfish. If it's too hot for the goldfish, the goldfish's metabolism will be too high and it's lifespan will shorten. If the waters too cold for the puffer, it will die quickly from a slowed metabolism. Plus goldfish eat anything they can fit in their mouth.

  • how many of those an i put in a ten gallon fish tank that is planted?

  • more like 3... they are very territorial and messy eaters

  • i would say 1 at most they need like 30 gal 4 1 but thts just my opinion im no expert

  • they dont need 30 gallons each. each ind needs 3-5 gallons and a place to call home.U cud put 3 in a ten just make sure to have more than one hiding place

  • 1 male and 2 female's.

  • Where'd you get your dwarf puffers from? I can never find any. That stay 1inch in length I prefer Indian Dwarf Puffers unless you have a better recommendation

  • You can get them at some walmarts.

  • Would it be smart to place one with a dwarf gourami?

  • no they would nip its fins and kill it the dwarf puffers are like little bullies!

  • Comment removed

  • Yes they are puffers! Shows how much you know. FOOL!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i would keep the dwarf puffers in a species only tank. they really do eat everything. i've tried tetras because they're fast swimmers, but the puffers can still find/catch them... and i have a pretty well-planted tank. the only fish i've successfully kept with them are otocinclus. for some reason, the puffers don't attack them.

  • Otos.

  • @cindevious they go good with gourami's

  • try tiger barbs thats what i got

  • I had mine with ottos, some khuli loaches and a couple of kribensis (already quite large). 2 puffers killed my third but after that it was a very peaceful setup.

The puffers have such a great character.

  • @minipancho94 WOWOWOW!! kid, i know this post is a year old. So im guessing that all of those puffers died. As they are FREASHWATER FISH! wow. kid seriously look up before you buy things people like you piss me off.

  • @minipancho94 Also Mini, DP's aren't brackish, they're full on freshwater fish. :) Too much salt actually is bad for them! It's okay when treating ich or something, but for the most part they prefer fresh and will live longer that way, too.

  • @minipancho94 dwarf puffers are fresh water, just to let you know

  • @minipancho94 dwarf puffers are not brackish at all!! there 100% fresh water. other puffers are brackish, but dwarf puffer will die in brackish.

  • @minipancho94 U IDIOT, THEY'RE FRESHWATER

  • @Masounification yea i know now, funny how the sources i checked all stated their brackish water.

  • It's awesome to watch them eat anything live! Especially the way they work as a team to attack it.

  • @cindevious can they rip a little baby mouse ?

  • @foroeste LOL full grown they are the size of a large pea!

  • i have one..i named him chunk n when we move ima get him some buddies!! my last 1 took a huge bite from a sucker n killed it..yessss.....

  • get a green spoted like 15 of them them feed them a pinky mouse...

  • How much liter have your Aq.

  • It's a 20 gallon (75.7 Liter) planted aquarium.

  • hey does anyone no if these fish can live in low brackish water with green puffer and figure 8 puffers?

  • Dwarf puffers generally do best in tropical freshwater. Green and Figure8 puffers thrive in tropical brackish water.

  • Dwarfs are freshwater, and they would become snacks for gsps and f8s because they're so small. I wouldn't even recommend keeping f8s and gsps together.

  • dude how many dps do u have?

  • good song choice also lol

  • its like a pack of wolves hahahah circling their prey

  • look like leopard guppies.. hahaha
