  • I wonder what happens if wild arms turns into an anime.

  • Back in the day, you knew a game was good if you watched the intro video OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN every time you booted up your system.

  • I like this music so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never play this game before. Is the game fun to play or easy to play?

  • @CucumberTinker Yes, absolutely, the story is amazing, and it has 1 of the strongest boss of all time when you tried to get the strongest weapon in the game. It's more memorable than FFVII in terms of story.

  • @xxxLucaBlightxxx Thanks!!

  • I never skiped the intro... NEVER!

  • fuck me this game ruled my 4th grade.

  • 1:52 badass wallpaper idea right there. xD

  • Cowboys and Aliens done right, hahaha

  • Just bought it recently for 40 bucks heh.

  • KING K WUZ HERE 2011

  • Wild Arms is -the- best PS1 game I have ever played.

  • I hear Septette for a Dead Princess and History of the Moon in the first song

  • This is still my favorite RPG of all time and it's probably been 8 years since I first played it. I still remember vaguely how I found out about it, when I was a lot younger I was going with my family somewhere, we stopped at a book shop for some reason and I found this strategy guide. I didn't even know about the game yet, mostly because I must have been younger than 10 from the fogginess of the memory. I bought it and read through ti regardless, then a few years later sought the game out.

  • @Ryfasol As it turns out, one of the better decisions in my life lol. What a truly amazing and memorable game.

  • hmmm ive been thinking that what if the intro of wild arms and chrono cross combined what would it be ^^ but i still think that this intro is better than the intro of chrono cross but it was still good

  • This will always be my favorite intro to a game.

  • Really, the greatness of the music in this game, make me to finish it, and I barely finish an RPG Game.

  • Gawd, I love Wild ARMs~ T.T Why can't games be as epic as they were back in the '90s~ DX

  • @RadicalEdwardBK good questin! 90's ruled. Good Games, bad Movies and Crystal Pepsi ^^

  • @Karldaj They weren't all bad~ XD But the '80s wins that contest (for me, anyways)~ X3

  • @RadicalEdwardBK You know an RPG is GREAT when it makes you watch the intro over and over even if you already saw for like a million times, just before you start the game.

  • I mean, was this games really better then the stuff made today? Where we really born at the "right time" ? Or is this just nostalgia's fault and things made today can be as good as it was (for this generation) ? Like Squaresoft gold era ? Was it really golden ? Maybe todays kids are satisfied with Square-Enix ? Just to think of it makes me wanna vomit, but... anyway, I never asked a kid about it.

  • I wonder.. Maybe all these games and music are crap and we are just too sensitive ? Can this sense of nostalgia makes us that soft, at the point we love any kind of stuff thrown at us ? I really wanna believe this was the best stuff I could possibly find and that this is not just my plain opinion. I couldn't think of anything that could make me more happier, adventurous and hopeful then this song (among some other feelings).

  • This intro gives me very nostalgic memories, very fond memories of when I first bought this game and watched this very sequences at the minor age of 10, I was awestruck and it stuck with me forever.

Even today when this song plays I find myself whistling along with the song or I try to play the song on acoustic guitar and fail. Definitely one of the most memorable RPG's of the 90's generation, truly gold.

  • If you're one of the two people who thumbed down this song, you're probably deaf.

  • This was one of the few games that actually made me cry. The game is absolutely amazing in every way oh and in case people are wondering, yes there ARE 64 crest graphs in the game. Due to this you CAN have every spell in the game at the same time. Granted about a third of them become obsolete due to the higher tier, it's still useful when you want to conserve MP.

This game truly is one of those games that should be hailed in the "Best RPGS Of All Time" Category.

  • I get so excited every time I hear this soundtrack, like when I was a little kid who first understood what a real "Good Game" is all about. The story that made you happy and sad. The unique characters that I would never forget about. The soundtracks that made you wonder. Nostalgia.. :D

  • I want this game now.

  • o nostalgia

  • I still watch the intro completely before each play, getting psyched to play the sh!t out of it! :P

  • I still don't understand why I haven't finished this game... It seems so vast, I'm probably not even in the halfway... Totally different from RPGs of this age...

  • I always have to cry when I listen to this melody, its so sad and really nice.

The memories of wild arms are so beautiful.

Memorizing this game is like one of the best times of my life.

  • sadly this game is not on the psn in the uk i still have too play my playstion disk

  • Nothing to much say...This is epic

  • I found out they released this on PSN, right after I got rid of my PS3, I woulda kept it just for this game, and maybe Scott Pilgrim, but I can wait for that :D, but, seriously this is one of my all time favourite games

  • i love this song i which i could whistle that high xD

  • I still own this game never did beat it because I was young and people who made puzzles back then were actually good at their job and yet with all the graphic upgrades this is still one of my favourite games unlike most xbox360 or ps3 games the opening got me into it every time

  • i recently bought this from the playstation network! great OP, even greater game!

  • I want this on my funeral

  • @AntonISAHOTT haha me too

  • First time hearing this. Must say, it caught my attention well. Very epic.

  • Ennio Morricone - Fistful of Dollars! XD

  • I love this intro <3 wish I sdtill had Playstation :/

  • Message me for this mp3 !

  • old school here one of my favorit games from the series it kind of went down hill with the 3rd on up

  • Top five RPG, even if it had two awful puzzles. I can still remember getting stuck in De La Metallica. I think the only thing I liked about the sequels is that one of them had a sung version of this song.

  • Oh man..i love this game as much as Final Fantasy..and damn i love it very much

  • When Rudy climb the mountain is epic :D

  • SO fucking good!

  • When I need to calm my little brother down, I pull him down the PS3 and turn on WildARMS. This intro works like a charm. I recently managed to teach him how to play a bit of the game. (Also, he declared Rudy to be his favorite WildARMS character)

  • I know your list isn't ranked, but this should have been at number 1...

  • Esta música é muito bonita, e o game é um dos mais legais que já joguei.

  • simple... yet catchy as hell

  • One of the greatest intro vids of all time

  • It's too bad this game was overshadowed by FF7, because it really was wonderful.

  • @anexistentialdilemma hm why be glad... i played ff7 but not because of the hype i just saw it at a friends house and tried myself loved it then the hype came and i hated it i still love the game but hate all the fanboys too much blabla because everyone thinks he's the ff7 king instead of enjoying this wonderfull world :-|

if u spent a good time with this game and have here and there a few people to talk with it's just perfect isn't it? this world was not discussed to death :o i'll play ^^

  • @anexistentialdilemma Final Fantasy VII isn't even that good.

  • @anexistentialdilemma The funny thing about this game, even though it was overshadowed... it was there for us when Final Fantasy 7 wasnt. It showed us love when FF7 was MIA. And for that, I love this game more then that over rated snore fest.

  • @anexistentialdilemma Having played both, I couldn't agree more. Wild arms ftw <3

  • @anexistentialdilemma alot of oldies games were unappreciated thats why we now have all thes graphic whore games instead of storylines

  • @anexistentialdilemma I'm a HUGE FF7 fan, but you've got to give this game it's credit. Fantastic game.

  • @anexistentialdilemma this game is MUCH better than FF7...imo...not that ff7 isnt awesome, but still...

  • @anexistentialdilemma It still spawned multiple sequels, not to mention you don't get shot down for liking it the way you do with FF7, FF8, or Chrono Cross.

    I'd say that's good enough.

  • the storyline in this game was pretty dark, but it was good yeah?

  • Great OST, totally love it!

  • Just amazing soundtrack. I keep coming for more.

  • This is my all time favorite game.

  • mine fav too

  • Brings back great memories.

  • Yeah, just think Clint Eastwood and John Wayne with giant mecha and magical powers and you're good :D

  • Anime? In your Wild West? It's more likely than you think.

  • I find myself whistling this tune every once in a while lol

  • i miss this game..i havent play it for like 10 years now

  • @veedabestchef Tell me about it, I still have my original copy from when it came out, and it is beyond refurbishing. I quite literally loved it to death.

  • Just awesome... brings me back =(.

  • This is one of my favorites, of all time. If this were ranked I would think this would either be number one of very close to it.

  • Nice, you got the vid.

  • I remember this game...God, it was so great.

I'm going to dig it up tomorrow and play it. I spent hours playing. My mom would have to threaten me with castration to get me off of it.

  • So many good memories so relaxing....gotta love this song and game

  • SO DAMN EPIC

  • Ah, so this is the name of the song I was looking for. It was the music during the screensaver in Wild Arms 2 I think.

  • indeed it was... usually my Wild Arms just didnt work so to hear this song id just play wild arms 2 and wait for the screen saver... XD brings back some memories from my childhood... this has been my favorite RPG since it came out when i was about 7

  • There was an rpg? I bought the game for the intro.

  • I randomly whistle this song in stores and I always try to find someone who knows it. So far I've come up emptyhanded, but someday someone will recognize it, someday.

  • lol i did that on my first day of highschool and 3 of my teachers reconized it x] one of them could play it on guitar

  • fucking epic...

  • EPIC!

    lol

  • EPIC!

  • STOP SAYING FUCKING EPIC..........I LOVED THIS GAME IT WAS i hate to say it but it was *epic* BUT STOP WITH THE EPIC ALREADY

  • EPIC

  • this game had a lot of effort and love and soul put into it. this game is just good for it´s soundtrack. i love whistling this anywhere. Pretty epic! 2nd one was pretty darn good also. i don´t know why many people give it bad remarks. worst one in the series in WA4 since you can´t enter buildings.

  • Not to be picky or anything, but you should take "square squaresoft squareenix" out of the tags because Wild ARMs wasn't made by Square.

  • one thing i remember is how this game kinda started out slow and average but kept getting better and better as you progressed. i was really surprised around the halfway point by how damn good the game had gotten.

  • As a kid, i thought that playing video game would hit me so hard in the hart, but this one did and it stead with me into today. if only i still had a copy to share with others.

  • This game had something ya know..It had a soul.

  • Wild Arms T.T

This game is better than any game!!!

The Best RPG of the wholw world!!!!!

    I love it T.T

  • Right Bro.... i finished it for the 10th times yesterday... epic

  • First RPG I played on the PS. I didn't even have a PS - I rented it just to play this game lol.... Greatest experience playing a game for me, even over FFVII - although I love both equally.

  • best rpg ever, it is my favorite of all time and thats still considering final fantasy VII

  • SupraDarky, thanks for make me discover new musics and games. Your list is awesome.

  • nice

  • very good

    $

  • It sounds like Morricone's compositions. Nice tune... it makes you think immediately in "western" themes. Hence, proper use of the codes...

  • el mejor RPG del mundo!

  • "the best rpg of the world" - I very much agree xD

  • I whistled this compulsively for years, lol!

  • I find myself whilstlin this out of nowhere...Like in the middle of a conversation

  • I never ever played this game but I remember my friend showing me this video on his PSX and I would always remember the song. That was almost a decade ago! I never forgot that girl with the golem in the video.

  • dude, put &fmt=18 at the end of the page's URL (name thing at top of the screen) and the sound quality get way better, so this epic song gets MORE EPIC!(if thats possible)

  • i really did love that game im gonna buy it again

  • yeah, I remember it, it's awesome....aww nostalgia^^

was my first PSX game I :D

  • Easily one of my top favourite RPG games on the PS1. Easily.

  • Michiko Naruke. Fcking epic.

  • is it possible to listen to thi and not whistle? :p

  • Nope, it's impossible.

  • yep,i tried it too its reeeeeeeeeaaally hard to not whistle along.

  • I CONCUR! lol!

  • This song eases my pain...

  • me too

  • I was blown away by this intro back then :)

  • me too it has such good music that made me feel like i was a brave knight or a legendary gunman and the video intro really helped.

  • ahh this brings back old memories i didn't really get the magic system but i think this one of my top ten ps1 rpgs that i like

  • Better sound and intro movie then in the Alter Code F i thinks.

  • I always used to whistle to this, whistling now in fact.

  • Oh the memories!! lol, i got so confused in this game at first, but when i saw how it worked, i nearly wanted to cry, as it was originally my favorite game, until i heard about ff7 & 8

lol, yes, i own Wild arms, ff7, and ff8

let's just say i'm a lucky guy who knows his games o_O

  • I own all those games too... and any RPG which came out on the PS.

  • I was never able to get into these games really...

  • I kinda like the whistle. It fits more with the pseudo-wild west theme.

    Plus, it sounds good.

  • I never said the whistle was bad.

  • The game is great. The only thing I would consider crappy are the graphics, even then I think that they graphics are charming. There's something about them that makes me love the game even more. -shrug-

    To each their own.

  • i agree with everyone who says this song should be in the next big western.

  • best song for a video game I think I've ever heard.

  • I remember hearing this a LONG time ago...

  • Awesome, love Wild Arms!

  • damn, this song is the reason why i play the guitar. timeless classic this game

  • I remember playing this game when if first came out. It came out of nowhere and blew all the other RPGs out of the water, at the time.

(Note: To FF fanboys, this game came out before FF7 did. So, keep quiet.)

It was so unique and different from the other RPGs out there. Even it's storyline took twists and turns that players didn't see coming.

  • Alot of things came out before FF7 that did everything it did better...

  • Is it just me or does this intro sorta remind you of Full Metal Alchemist?

  • Hmm? Hey, it kinda does evoke a similar feeling.

  • look closely at 0:32-0:34

  • Oh sweet nostalgia...

  • This is one of those songs you can listen to hundreds of times and then after all that say "One more time."

  • i have heard this song over 100 times and each time it is still as good as the first

  • that's just what I'm thinking, too

  • One of the best games ever. I'd rate this the second best game for the Playstation, only topped by FFVII. Man, what I wouldn't give to play those two games again. The original Wild ARMs... stuff of legends!

  • my fav of all the wild ARMs series.. I dont think you can beat the original.

  • I'd argue Alter Code F was better, but that might be because I played it first. With that said, this is still an awesome piece of music.

  • tbh i didnt know that was out. but i dont think it has been realeased in europe so i cant say :( (just one more thing were deprived of over here)

and yes it realy is a good peice of music

  • I beat the original out of frustration every day!

Nowadays I beat it almost as often, but only when my mommy can't see, cause that would be slighly embarrassing...

  • Classic moment, when I first opened my PS1 with that game in it.

Awesome music for an awesome serie!

  • What a great opening & track. <3

  • this game is one of my first memories and that song has stuck in my mind ever since

  • Same i still remember some fantastic moments from this game where i was stuck for days trying to figure

  • I like this arrangement

  • Orly?

  • Watching this made me cry.

    Oh the memories.

  • Beautiful song!!

  • Ah, the memories! seriously, i had totally forgotten about wild arms untill yesterday, and today i wanted to listen to some of it's music, mainly the " Rosetta town " one, but i can't find it anywhere =/ maybe i spell it wrong, so if anyone can help out, please, i'd be greatful to hear it once more.

For this video, man it's awsome, the intro is great and so is the music. so many good memories from this, oh Yeah! :D 5/5

  • Rosetta Refrain, from OCremix.
