I actually believe that Captain America was more likely found in the year 2011. That would explain the release date of the film and also give Loki the time to gather his strength and his followers before he attacks Earth in 2011-2012 in The Avengers.
Other than that, everything seems perfectly accurate to me! Thanks for making this.
@King2123 Thor's the most powerful.Hulk is stronger. So strong n fact,it's the only way he's able 2 match Thor's power when they fight.I think Hulk even has a better win/lost record when it comes 2 one on one battles with Thor.Thor's a beast, though.Hulk is just unfairly strong. There's really no limitations 2 his strength. The longer the fight, the angrier he gets, the stronger he becomes..and he has a healing factor like Wolverine,U have 2 beat him quick. If not,U dont really stand a chance
@DirtyFaceCapon3 Ah interesting. I never knew that. I just figured Thor was the strongest because God like powers rule out the genetically enhanced ones. Thanks for clearing it up broski!
The only issue with this timeline is the fact that The Avengers occurs in 2012, which means that's a whole TWO YEARS between the end of Captain America and the events of The Avengers. So, did they just spend an entire two years doing nothing but twiddle their thumbs until the problem occured? I hope this is explained or at least referenced in the movie.
@Magicolalala The song is "Requiem for a Tower," a remixed version of "Lux Aeterna" composed by Clint Mansell for the film "Requiem for a Dream." The remixed was first used for the trailer for "The Two Towers."
Excellent video putting the events of the movies in a nice, organized timeline. Didn't think the events of Hulk were going on at the same time as Iron Man 2
This is awesome, someone needs to get all these movies and combine them in this order, make it a movie and call it "Avengers: The Initiative" I know it would be long as FUCK but it would be so fucking epic and awesome, I would totally watch the whole thing from start to finish.
@MetalHeadGrace Only thing I wouldn't like about that would be that Captain America and Iron Man would largely be unchanged. The really interesting bits would be with Thor, Hulk and Iron Man 2 interspliced. Good idea though, especially if you edited out a lot and made it a sort of recap thing.
@TheMightyBeowulf No, they weren't. Thor and the end of Captain America are set in 2011. Thor is set after the events of Iron Man 2 hence the tag at the end of them finding Mjonir. It says PRESENT on the screen when Thor lands on Earth, meaning 2011. The end scene of Captain America: The First Avenger Fury tells Rogers he's been asleep for nearly 70 years. 2011-1944= 67 years. Good try pal. :) None of the events are linear. Go watch the Coulson shorts they bridge the time gaps. ;)
@AliasGreenLantern actually iron man 2 takes places 6 months after the first film, not a year if you paid attention to the screen when he jump out the plane, it said 6 months later. Thor, Iron Man 2, and Incredible Hulk are happening at the same time, back to back with these events. Cap is unfrozen during the closing events of Thor, right b4 the post credit scene. None of these movies are actually set in the year they were released except Thor. the others can b late 2010 if you think about it
@Juwan2good No, they are not. They would have to reference them way more. The Incredible Hulk happens after Iron Man 2 making The Incredible Hulk Spring of 2010, Coulsen would reference T.I.H. in Thor if they were happening at the same time. Thor takes place like a year later, and Cap is thawed following the events in Thor. -_-
@AliasGreenLantern I have all the movies downloaded, i have about watched them 100 times. Iron man 2 takes place 6 months after the first and the incredible hulk happens over a period of time. so it starts durin the end of iron man & ending after iron man 2. thor land during iron man 2 and the crater scene happens before coulson leaves from tony's house he says "Fury put me on assignment in New mexico" something like dat. then Tony replied "Oh the land of enchantment". so those 3 happen 2gether
@AliasGreenLantern Check about during the meeting between Stark and Fury at the end of Iron Man 2 and you will see a news report in the background on the screen about a monster attacking a campus (The Incredible Hulk fighting the army). Also, Coulson is assigned to Thor's hammer and, therefore, Thor. The Hulk is not his business, and he is the armies focus and not SHIELD's during the events of The Incredible Hulk.
I loved the "Edward Norton turns into Mark Ruffalo" had me screaming in laughing fits! Well done timeline, very informative and a real good clear perspective! Thanks! :D
why are so many people questioning the left out DC comic characters, like green lantern, batman, etc. This is the marvel universe, you should be asking yourself, where are the x-men?
I think there is a some big gap between loki falling into space and the selvig fury scene....i dont think they take place in the same month...thats too short time...
Norton's Banner becomes the Hulk in 2003 (not 2006), because in The "Incredible Hulk" (based in 2008, not 2007), General Ross states that Banner has been in hiding for 5 years (thus replacing the events of Ang Lee's "Hulk", while still retaining the same year).
Also, when Banner fails to commit suicide in the Arctic Circle, if you watch closely, you'll see Cap's body being released from it's icy prison as Banner's transformation destroys the ice.
@fsujs Jon Favreau said that the shield in that scene is just something Tony was tinkering with, not Captain America's actual shield. When you look closely at it you can see it is being assembled in pieces, whereas in Captain America we see it cast as a single solid piece of metal. Ultimately it was just an Easter Egg.
@CtrlAltRepeat Hawkeye was in Thor and another movie with just minor roles. They didn't do a major movie to introduce him but honestly they didn't really spend much time introducing Black Widows abilities either. One single fight scene.
A couple minor spelling errors (infiltrate, not infultrait for instance)... but not many.
Damned good research. My brother-in-law, wife, and myself have speculated most of this out, but I really need to show them this... confirms most of what we had and fills in a few gaps.
Also, your editing was rather brilliant. Clips were good and transitions felt very smooth.
Handling actor changes... X turns into Y... I, quite literally, LOLed.
