I actually believe that Captain America was more likely found in the year 2011. That would explain the release date of the film and also give Loki the time to gather his strength and his followers before he attacks Earth in 2011-2012 in The Avengers.

The only issue with this timeline is the fact that The Avengers occurs in 2012, which means that's a whole TWO YEARS between the end of Captain America and the events of The Avengers. So, did they just spend an entire two years doing nothing but twiddle their thumbs until the problem occured? I hope this is explained or at least referenced in the movie.

Couple of huge mistakes: Thor came out in 2011. Cap wakes up in 2011. Only Iron Man 2 is set in 2010.

It says PRESENT on the screen when Thor lands on Earth, meaning 2011. The end scene of Captain America: The First Avenger Fury tells Rogers he's been asleep for nearly 70 years. 2011-1944= 67 years. Good try pal. :) None of the events are linear. Go watch the Coulson shorts they bridge the time gaps. ;)

Thor, Iron Man 2, and Incredible Hulk are happening at the same time, back to back with these events. Cap is unfrozen during the closing events of Thor, right b4 the post credit scene. None of these movies are actually set in the year they were released except Thor. the others can b late 2010 if you think about it

The Incredible Hulk happens after Iron Man 2 making The Incredible Hulk Spring of 2010, Coulsen would reference T.I.H. in Thor if they were happening at the same time. Also, Coulson is assigned to Thor's hammer and, therefore, Thor. The Hulk is not his business, and he is the armies focus and not SHIELD's during the events of The Incredible Hulk.

Also, when Banner fails to commit suicide in the Arctic Circle, if you watch closely, you'll see Cap's body being released from it's icy prison as Banner's transformation destroys the ice.

When you look closely at it you can see it is being assembled in pieces, whereas in Captain America we see it cast as a single solid piece of metal. Ultimately it was just an Easter Egg.

A couple of things. When Stark went to meet with Ross concerning the Avengers initiative it was due to some head member wanting the Abomination over the Hulk. Tony was there to basically make sure Ross wouldn't let them have the Abomination. And the "remote woods" was just some place in Canada. Great overview though. :]
