  • what is it with women? why don't they see how important it is to break a baseball bat over your head?

  • @tonylee1973 Exactly. What if someone were to attack me with a bat and try to hit me in the head? Who's laughing then?

  • HAHAH! Awesome intro!

  • Hi, Jordan, I am a Tai Chi teacher, YourTaiChi on youtube, and have always used weights for supplemental strength, just getting into kb. Couldn't do one TGU because of the lack of strength in the hip complex before your video. Did one on the first try following your excellent body mechanics. Right side has shoulder issues like the client you mentioned. But I feel like now I have hope. Great job and great sense of humour in the beginning! Keep doing great things!

  • Ironically, this is what I ended up intuitively doing for the getup, as this is the typical method for getting up after a fall in Indonesian martial artsy stuff. So it's sport-specific too!

  • Thanks so much for your clear and concise information!

Bonus: No obnoxious music or augment body parts....

  • Wait for the DVD if you get a hankering for some obnoxious music.

  • Is it normal to feel a lot of pressure bordering on pain where the KB meets the forearm when in the press at the top of the getup? I'm new to KB training and I've never read anything about forearm discomfort with the getup.

    Great video series.

    Thanks

  • Some people just have more sensitive forearms than others. I've run across this issue with clients. Part of it can be that if your wrist is bent back it will allow the bell to put more pressure on the forearm. Try using wristbands.

  • I've seen many of your videos and you make a great deal of sense. Thanks for taking the time to do this and helping people like me with little to no access to trainers.

  • Thanks.

  • Great information Jordan. I love how you broke down everything with the "why" instead of just the "how".

  • HI JORDAn the leg switch is nice but on MIKE MAHLER he does a substitute TGU holding the kettlebell in both hands getting up slowly for the de-conditioned on his beginner video. i think he does this slowly moving his legs underneath holding the kettlebell coaxing the person up on the knees.

  • I prefer my way because it does not require assistance from a second person, nor does it give the person a crutch.

  • Brilliant tutoring again Jordan,

Where do I find out how to break a baseball bat over my head? Sounds cool

  • "My fiance won't let me" lol, that's great. Nice video.

  • Thanks. It's true though. I've been banned from breaking baseball bats over my head.
