If you listen to the first VH album and also to the 3rd one from which Romeo Delight comes, you will understand that David Lee Roth can be an amazing vocalist when he wants to. What a fantastic tambre. I just wish he would at least try to do it live.

Saw the concert-not as impressive as others might think-they're like the rolling stones, kiss, you know the 80's group-with nothing to offer musically-but good and fun to go to to get some entertainment if you wanna pay lots of $'s for the tix-I got to see it pretty cheap in the front-I would buy the videos instead..it's about the same-dave is not that impressive-wofie is just an average highschooler bass player-alex was getting tired all the time-eddie was making lots of speed and cheap riffs.

There is no issue with his chops, all it is is his stage presence, and I actually think he's doing it right. It would be wrong for him to get out there like he's entitled and owns the stage. He needs to leave that to his dad and Dave, at least for this tour.

Dave's been doing stupid sh..tuff his whole career. What about the times he yells out "I forgot the f#$%ing words!"? He's done that on this tour, he did it back in '83 at the US Festival. It's just like what Ed has said lots of times, Dave is a clown. David has no respect for music as an art, he's just their to get the attention he needs so much. I grew up loving this band and when I finally saw Dave's antics live I was enraged, he drags Van Halen down, the were better off without him.

I was about 15 feet from the soundboard. Wolfgangs mom Valerie was in there by the soundguy and her new man. I wonder what she was thinking about Roth at that "Shut your fuckin mouth Wolfie" moment. I heard once that the reason she ended up with Eddie was cause Roth blew her off backstage in Shreveport,LA. back in 79' so she went after Ed.
