Probably not. If you've got a inside leg of 30" or more then yes. Some people with 29" leg ride them but they are not easy to do with legs that short. The seat height is around 32".
lol "barely made it out of Portugal?" The portuguese sections were amongst the worse in the whole Dakar maybe behind Mauritania. They were even criticized for being too harsh. Very fine very deep sand big mud puddles with pine trees on the side. Dangerous and tricky... You should come here and try it ;)
I gotta enter the '09 Dakar, ride a scooter off the start line and into the side of a camel so I can be called a Dakar rider - what a joke! Nice bike though ;)
Charley Boorman Dakar What???? he crashed on the aerly kilometers of the race and he cracked both of his wrists!!!OMG if you are an actor they gonna remeber you as a dakar rider...But if you are one of the hundreds other heroes that finish the dakar with a low budget equipment you are forgotten...THAT'S UNFAIR!!!

You can ride this bike with shorter legs, you just need to know what you are doing as Boorman does.
