Haven't seen Shame or Certified Copy yet. But I have to say, I REALLY hated The Future and Meek's Cutoff. Especially Meek's because that director makes unwatchable nothing movies. I love Miranda July's The Future. Have you read her book called "It Chooses You"? It's basically her interviewing people from the Pennysaver like in the movie. The guy in the movie who sells the hair dryer is the last interview in the book. Really good stuff, just like the movie.

Good list, surprising, my number one is definitely Drive. I don't think I have to explain it had so much potential to be a run of the mill flick but ended up being a gripping, graphic and intense character study on Driver. Ending sequence of Ryan Gosling killing that guy and sitting in his car = amazing.

And the rest of your top 10 i havent seen. i actually saw a lot more of your honorable mentions though i wonder if you saw mission impossible, sherlock holmes, or harry potter. i think you should expand to more than the somewhat obscure though because you definitely favor much more to the ind

It's beyond awesome to see you releasing a video again. I loved it when you stated how Alexander Payne is the greatest director at capturing everyday human life. He's truly the Kubrick of the American dramedy b/c of his small filmography (and my 7th favorite director). However, I don't have an official top ten yet b/c I still have several films left to watch before the Oscars. Still great to see you again!

Haven´t seen that many movies from 2011, but those I´ve seen and I recomend are; A Horrible Way to Die. Man hantingu: Ridenpushon a.k.a. Man hunting redemption. Megan is missing, Misshingu 55 a.k.a. Missing 55, The woman, X-Men: First Class, Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Except the last 2 all are horror/thriller dramas

I´m really looking forward to The artist, Eskwad that is the company behind it hasn´t failed yet to surprise me ^_^  Drive i need to watch also
