nice tips but one thing. The light must be at the opposite side. You are left handed so it should be at the right side of the desk. Thats very important for your eyes. Keep up the good work.
It takes longer to draw it more realistically. I think he just wants to teach the method. If you really want to learn how to draw realistically see more focused guides (like how to draw realistic eyes)
