I used to like Glenn Beck. I discovered him early last year when he was on CNN, and at first, he didn't seem like a crazy right-wing nut. Then, I decided to read his book. I got about 40 pages in, then had to give up. He talked about how much of a good Christian he was. He wrote about how he wanted left-wing people dead, most notably Barbra Streisand and Susan Sarandon, then wrote, "Gee, that's not a very Christian thing of me to say." Duh. I hope they all walk away from this dude.
There is one glaring issue everyone is missing here. CONTROVERSY IS NOT EVIL. The American Revolution was controversial in its day. Every issue in the world that is critical to confront, discuss, and resolve is CONTROVERSIAL! Controversy just means there are opposing sides in the struggle, yet why do these fat cats cancel their advertising? I'm sure if Beck was an ardent Obama supporter kissing his ass every night they wouldn't bat an eye.
I hope that Glenn (or his employees) find this. the people support him and his ideas. if the sponsors won't pay to support his show, we will. let the people know that there is a problem and we will solve it. As for this clip, and others who do not like him and call him a hate monger and other things, why don't you try listening to him and arguing the points instead of throwing insults? is it really that hard to have an intelligent converstation?
