  • NEVER use ether on a non-turbo diesel. ALL of the old GM diesels were prone to blowing the heads off if you used ether. They just couldn't take it.

  • @heavyd2062 I'm not too worried about it

  • @Brockway700 If I were you I would be. If you blow the motor because of it you'll be mad as hell. I have seen people blow them by using ether. If you continue to use ether, you're an idiot. So, I'd worry about it if I were you.

  • NEVER use Ether with glowplugs. The engine bay has more than 2 stickers saying that(probably worn off now). The will swell and you'll have a boat anchor under the hood.

  • @thirdstreettito I know i was being sarcastic with the "what could possibly go wrong comment". I don't usually use ether but this was a little different case

  • I hope you didn't use the glowplugs when you used the ether.

  • @thirdstreettito haha why what could possibly go wrong with that!? No I had the glow plugs unhooked for this. I only used ether for the first start here because I wasn't sure if it would run at all, and it was easier to diagnose that without the glowplugs. Once I knew it ran I fixed the glowplugs and havent used a sniff of ether since.

  • my father wants to know when your gonna just give up and sell the truck to him LOL

  • @104trucker Why on earth would he want that?
