  • Gosh, was this shot just in '08? Ross looks like he stepped right out of an ad for greasy hair gel from 1993. Thank Goodness he's cleaned up his act since this was release.

  • Nice review, but does his hair like he just got out of a sauna to anyone else?

  • That truck is huge, makes him look like he was shrunk.

  • The contract with Dodge is over . The new 2013 will be built by Nissan no more Dodge in the Nissan..

  • Nice truck but with a price like that, a F150 Raptor would be sitting in my driveway.

  • This is one of the best trucks I have owned. I am a field production operator in the Alberta oil patch and just tripped 310,000 km on my Titian pro-4x (still have the original ball joints in the front end even). The only problems i have had, is the exhaust manifolds tend to crack, and I had to replace the fuel pump twice ($800 each + labour). Over all, the truck has stood up excellent. I have had Chevy and Dodge and they can't hold a candle to the Titan. I will definatly buy another one!!

  • Crossing my fingers that the Titan will go through with that Cummins I-4 diesel engine.

  • what did they do to get more power from 305 to 315?

  • @Tj1056 intake, exhaust, fuel.

  • Don't worry @dukviper90.... the Nissan/Dodge partnership thing won't be happenng..... thank God! Chrysler and GM products are absolute CRAP!

  • This truck sure it has a little more power than the regular titan but botton line the best offroading truck out there is the 2010 FORD RAPTOR !

  • i love my titan, 2006 model!!

  • my dad had a 09 titan but black

  • he says "roadfly is located in a major urban area", yet the guy is surrounded by forests EVERYWHERE. lol?

  • I have the PRO-4X extended cab model in "Red Alert". I absolutely LOVE my Titan. If you haven't driven one, go take a test drive. You'll be hooked!!!

  • has anyone recieved a recall for the tatn for a gas gauge probably, i got mine today!!

  • trian crew cab $18190.00

    chevy silverado $16550.00

    ford f 150 $18800.00

    dodge ram 1500 $14542.00

    toyota turndra $23950.00

all crew cab with 12646 miles

and i put all options on each, ford is winning by far!

    just na obeservation!!:)

  • clearly toyota has the best resale, but this recall, i dont know!

  • Have you driven a Titan yet? When I was out looking at new trucks a few years ago, I drove all the brands. But when I mashed my foot down in a Titan, I knew. Ford wasn't even close. Tundra's close, but I heard those were having a problem with the frame rails rusting through.

  • you bet scooter, i have a 2006, sorry i didnt mention that in the other post, ive had chevy, ford, and now the titan, and im sticking with that, do you have a titan?

  • Yeah, I have a 2005. Damned good truck!

  • Wish they did these in right hand drive for the UK market!! I currently own a Navara but would love a rhd titan!

  • For trolls that come here to say the Titan will die if you did your research you would find that Nissan North America announced they would be continuing to build the truck without Dodge and plans to have a redesigned truck in 2014. So thats good news for the Titan fans out there. I don't see why people hate on Titans so much they are the best bang for the buck on the market. Not gonna say the Titan is better than Fords I've had but its been a good truck so far and I beat the shit out of it...

  • with all the doodads mine aswell pay the extra 5000

  • Comment removed

  • ford didn't go bankrupt

  • chevy and dodge are not auto manufacturers genious

  • gm does not own themarket anymore buddy. and just because the bailout was approved doesn't mean people will buy their crappy vehicles

  • GM may not own the car market but they, along with Ford, DO basically own the truck market. The Titan, while a decent truck, did almost nothing in the way of sales. The Tundra looked like it could be a decent offereing and then everyone just upped the ante even more. If GM, Ford and Dodge wanted to, their latest offerings and updates could have rendered Toyota and Nissan even less relevant then they are already proving to be.

  • too add to that Titan was announced to be killed this year

  • what alot of people don't realize, is that nissan has been doing these 'doodads' since FOREVER....nissan was a big competitor in desert/baja racing pre-80s, and although i don't own a post-95 nissan, my older nissans STOCK can outperform any jeep/ford/dodge/gm/USA. The only downside to ANY nissan, is the lack of two full axles, but thats eliminated when you go outside the USA, where they have a Nissan Patrol, that is pure BEAST

  • Nissan makes chevys chassies for Chevy

  • this guy reminds me of keunna reeves (however its spelt)

  • this guy annoys the hell out of me. i prefer charlie.

  • Im sad....sad that the next titan will be based on the ram. that really upsets me. i dont want no damn dodge in my nissan!

  • I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately it's the way it's gotta be. Hopefully we'll still be able to detect it's Nissanness.

    -Charlie

  • @roadflytv think we'll get the 400 hp v-8?

  • @dukviper90 well they dropped tht idea so now i have a reason to buy the new one

  • @boostedist Yeah i have a feeling the new titan that will debut in 2014 (nissan says) will be based off the platform the Nissan NV vans are on... It will be interesting. I still want to buy an 08-09 model eventually. The deals you can get on new ones though are pretty damn good.

  • @dukviper90 you reely can..my homie picked up a fully loaded pro4x for 31k flat

  • @dukviper90 i know your comment is old, but if your reading about the new titan, dodge has nothing to do with that anymore, have you seen the dodge rendering, ugaleeee:)

  • @markmarshall39 Nissan is planning the next titan for 2014. No dodge dna at all. Thank goodness.

  • @dukviper90 no. years later they dropped that idea- the deal fell though and the titans likely gonna be in house design for 2014

  • @Matanumi About 6 days late.

  • Great news for Nissan Titan owners. The new Titan got an upraded rating from Consumer Reports to an average reliability. I'm optimistic that next year's report will be even better. For value, its hard to argue that this is not a good truck. Now, let just all hope that the gas prices stay low.

    Peace

  • i didnt hear anything about dodge building a new truck for Nissan all i heard is that Nissan will be building the hornet for dodge.but if dodge is going to be building Nissan a new truck my question is why would nissan take that chance, they have a good 1/2ton already. maybe Nissan should talk to Mitsubishi 1st they know a thing or 2 about dodge products...haha.

  • you all know that GM and toyota are parnters right when toyota came out with T100 they were going to have an optional V8 that would come frm GM, but during that time GM was having tranny issues so toyota decided to just stick with their 3.4 V6 so if your a GM guy u cant be hating on Toyota, bc when toytoa makes money GM makes money too.

  • love my 2006 titan, its has the 305hp, i know the new are 317hp i think, but the torque, this truck goes:)

  • I like it better then the dodge dokota but its also cost a lot more. It has a dohc v8 rather then american lower hp sohc and ohv v8s.

  • if gohsn was smarter he would put 4.0 vq's in these then sales would go up and they need a single cab nissan makes good trucks just lot of big three lovers give them bad rep because it can accomplish more

  • Im a big 3 guy myself, GM is my favorite- and i would rather see people drive the titan than the tundra imo. i have nothing against nissan. they dont try and out do the big 3 they actually make their own trucks and do their own thing, which i respect alot. i give them alot more respect than toyota. unfortunatly dodge is going downhill and nissan will me making them a compact car while dodge makes them a truck. who knows how this will play out i just hope they dont make dodge un american.

  • i agree with you because nissan really wasn't trying to out do the big three they wanted the titan to be the alternative but now they should compete with the tundra because i know they can do it but the keep saying that the engine is just too expensive, but the thing they do better than toyota is build their trucks, honestly have you ever heard a real problem with a titan? my 04 titan still running like when i got it and it's at 78k miles.

  • i agree with you. Like i said i would rather drive a nissan titan than a toyota tundra anyday of the week. But i will stick with chevy haha. But yes you are completely right i have never heard of any problems with the nissan titan. hopefully dodge can help them out and pass up toyota! id love to see the big three rule the domestics and it would be nice to see nissan rule the foreigns.

  • makes me wish i had carlos gohsn's email LOL

  • i agree man, i would rather drive a titan than a tundra, dont worry, i think the titan has already passed the tundra though.

  • The U.S. Auto makers will not bit the dust. Bailout approved, no where to go but up. And if US automakers went bankrupt do you know how badly that would drag down the foreign cars in america too? And yes they use the tundra for advertisements big deal that doesnt make we want to drive a tundra haha. Bass Proshop also sponsors a Chevy in Nascar go figure right? They are not the biggest automaker in the world- to this day GM still owns the market pal.

  • Dude your a naive person. Toyota is falling back as weel. reporting in a 7.9 billion lost last year. No stop being a annyoing fan boy.

  • Great looking truck, I'm glad they finally came out with their own off road package.

  • nissan titan is getting cancelled actually nissan's titan sales r bad so nissan and dodge are making a new truck 4 nissan and a new car 4 dodge stupid if u ask me

  • I agree. Dodge has the worst rating for U.S. domestics. The Titans 04'-07' have terrible break system and the 08'-08.5' looks promising but the increase in fuel cost and still lack of selection really hurts Nissan. The 09' model maybe the last true Nissan Titan which really is no different than the 08'. I wonder how the partnership will affect the current price and resale value of the existing Titans.

  • well i really like the titan i hope they dont cancel it i really like dodge to nissan said that the next truck would kinda look like a dodge ram

  • WHAT?! NO WAY! damn...thats bizarre! i like the 08 titans...the full size bed and long wheel base makes the truck look sort of proportional with the crew cab...i hope they keep selling...im hoping to get one in a yr or so

  • well nissan is making a new truck 2 replace the titan thats stupid nissan and dodge r getting 2gether 2 make a new truck 4 nissan n return nissan will make small cars 4 dodge stupid if u ask me i like the titan to

  • thats dumb...although it could be a good idea. only if they made the armada longer...like a yukon or something. more trunk space...if suv even have a trunk? i dont know what you would call the back space but yea...they shouldnt do that to the titan because they are badass trucks

  • Tuck your shirt in!

  • your a joke

  • wtf where are you getting those deals at.

they are trying to get us for 40k+ here

  • I'll take one in a No Fear package!

  • this guy's voice and mannerisms bother me

  • You know a truck is good when the host cusses lol.

  • I just got an 08 Pro-4X at a steal of 29k out the door, taxes and plates with 7k miles. Doesn't have the built in DVD player is all. I feel like i ROBBED the dealership :)

  • Congrats on your new truck. Would love to see the options you got on that truck. Is it a crew cab? I'm seriously thinking of getting one myself but still conflicted between the Titan vs. Sierra.

  • My dad wants a truck but he is gonna wait for the 09 f-150. We like the Titan alot but were a Ford truck family. We have a Ram right now but thats only cause my mom liked the paint job lol

  • You didnt rob the dealer you commited murder lol

  • i got an 08 pro 4x for 29 out the door too! mine had 8 miles on it. have you done anything to urs yet?

  • Good truck. Go easy on the options, and if you don't need 4wd, you can drive away in a new one for about $20K. Which, considering the power and spec is about $6K-$10K cheaper than a comparable domestic, and the quality and driving is better.

  • wow either that truck is massive or that guy is really short....

  • the truck is massive and that guy really is short...and dude's hair is F'd up

  • yeah hes short for sure.

  • i hurd dat, that thing is either the sears tower or hes a fuckin leprichaun

  • Im 5'8 and the hood at the highest point is above my shoulders, it's a beast and you need nerf bars for sure!

  • Great looking truck with good capabilities, All the green freaks go play with your Echo's and Prius's, and don't complain when you get run over by full size truck.

  • with a nice 4x4, you can see more of the world than you can with an econobo

  • Good call. See the world and go places you've never been by polluting the hell out of the air and using up a shitload of unrenewable resources! V8's are going the way of the dodo bird. Not long before they're all gone.

  • What are you crying about? Probably a "truther".. This IS a flexfuel vehicle. By the way, do you think flexfuel is the answer? It takes a gallon of gas to produce a gallon of flex.. No, the pollution is not IYBY, but its somewhere in the midwest.

Save a gallon of gas and a Chinese or Indian will use one to make up for your savings. Let them take over the planet. Maybe you can work for them. How about today?

  • Wish CR can do another review. CR still has it rated much worse than average interms of reliability. The new 08.5 model has a much a bigger front break rotor and should fix the nagging break problems that has plagued the 04 and some of 05 models.

The Titan is a nice looking truck but until it fixes the reliability issue/image, it will continue to deter a lot of buyers.

  • I just got a notice from CR. The April 08 publication will feature the Titan review. It should be interesting. I'm hoping for a better report. I sure hope so because I want this truck.

  • The report is still based on the 04 Titan. Just a few mention of updates. Reliability is still "much worse than average". Arrrghh!

  • We got my dad one of the first seen around in 04'! Great truck! He doesn't even have 30k miles on it yet! Plenty of power even with the then 306hp out put! And because it was new & unsure to Nissan as to how it would sell, we got a great starting out price for it as well!

  • we don't have these things here in Macedonia. what a shame

  • what happened to the intro jiggle w/ beach blond mini-skirt?

  • That was just for the LA Auto Show. Should we bring it back?

  • hellav yes. need jingle to brand reviews.

  • the v8 is not new its the same v8 used in 2007. get your facts straight buddy.

  • Sweetest sounding v8 ive heard INCLUDING domestics.

  • an electric locker in the rear , nice i think nissan did a good job on this... 50th view? hahhah
