micro fibre towels are indeed very good, i use them for allot of stuff. BUT be careful that something sharp like debris is not stuck on the towel or you get scratches on your lens!

haha i got a microfiber towel built in my PE jersey it is so freaking nice! oh of topic but don't buy the new dye jersey te suck un less u want to feel like your in football practice. padding is only on the top of the shoulders since thats where you get shoot alot HA!

Best way to clean the outside is to lick it clean and wipe it with a clean towel. If you have a lot of paint on there, rinse it off first, but to get that squeaky clean finish use your tongue...

i remembered that you said you wished there was more people that gave advise and helped out in the fields (other players) well thats actually how i got into paintball..went there ,my cheap ass viewloader gun broke and the gun that i was plaaying with lend me his spare that was a spyder sonix ...after 3 hrs or so he left while i was playing , he just looked at me and got in his truck and left...now i have a spyder sonix that i use/d and im about to get a ego ten...ill do the same favor thanks....

Mike - would be well worth updating this vid to cover the differences between dual pane thermal lenses (dye/JT) and single pane cured lenses (vForce). I personally love VForce lenses as you can just run them inside and out under water to clean them and they still never fog. Whereas you have to treat the inside of a thermal lense very carefully and avoid touching the inside so you don't risk damaging the coating.

A great antifog is Johnsons & Johnsons No more tears baby shampoo.

a small amount on the inside of the lense, smeared on with a fingertip and then lightly cleaned off.

It's used a lot by scuba divers and we've been using it on paintball lenses for about a year

ok so i scuba dive alot and i use crest tooth past as ani fog. the kind that is a light blue. if works very well and i also use it on my paintball masks it works very well,BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF IT HARMS THE MASK SO BE CAREFULL. i have not had any problems with it, and it gives the mask a minty fresh smell

wish i had read this before going out to play today. i used a rental mask because i haven't officially bought anything in paintball yet (except for a few pods to hold balls). the rental mask was good when i started, but at the end of each game i had to wipe it because it kept fogging from my breath. if i had thought for 2 seconds to bring a microfiber towel, i would have not wasted as many balls, and would not have missed as much.

Tyger recommends, and I strongly agree from experience, a spray bottle as a very effective tool for cleaning a mask. Just fill it with water, mist it to get the lens wet, and use the direct spray to get any large shell chunks or corners (like between a visor and the ears). Then just use the towel to dry.

That's all I ever use, my Profiler lens is always clean and clear. Never a problem with fogging either as water and a soft cloth/touch won't take off the factory anti-fog.

I have seen some pretty ridicoulous fog prevention methods on the field. Sometimes, rental would stuff a piece of paper towel down their forehead and they said that it prevents fog. While I don't see any safety hazard, but I do feel sorry for them. This is as silly as "you will go blind of you touch yourself too much."
